Operaciones militares permiten la captura de tres presuntos integrantes del Clan del Golfo en el Magdalena

Entre los capturados está alias Elkin o el Negro, quien presuntamente planificaba y ejecutaba homicidios, además de otras actividades delictivas dentro de este grupo armado ilegal. Estas aprehensiones representan un golpe significativo contra la presencia criminal en el sur y centro del departamento.

En el marco del Plan de Campaña Operacional Ayacucho Plus, tropas de la Segunda Brigada del Ejército Nacional, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional y la Sijín, capturaron a tres presuntos integrantes del Clan del Golfo en dos operaciones distintas llevadas a cabo en los municipios de Tenerife y El Banco, en el departamento del Magdalena.

La primera operación, desarrollada en Tenerife, permitió la aprehensión de dos individuos que, al parecer, pertenecían a la Subestructura Sergio Antonio Carrascal Gómez, del Clan del Golfo. Allí fueron capturados en flagrancia por el delito de fabricación, tráfico o porte de armas de fuego o municiones.

Posteriormente, en El Banco, gracias a una orden de registro y allanamiento y al trabajo conjunto con la Sijín, se efectuó la captura de un presunto integrante de la Subestructura Edwin José Sierra Regino, del GAO Clan del Golfo. Este individuo, conocido como alias Elkin o el Negro, era el encargado de dinamizar actividades delictivas graves, incluyendo el homicidio selectivo. Se estima que llevaba más de tres años dentro de la organización criminal.

Alias Elkin o el Negro estaría vinculado a múltiples delitos, entre ellos, fabricación, tráfico, porte o tenencia de armas de fuego, accesorios, partes o municiones; fabricación, tráfico y porte de armas, municiones de uso restringido o privativo de las Fuerzas Militares o explosivos, y tráfico, fabricación o porte de estupefacientes.

Durante las operaciones, las autoridades incautaron material de interés, incluyendo 2 armas cortas, proveedores y cartuchos de diferentes calibres; un uniforme camuflado; 2 banderas y publicidad alusiva a las Autodefensas Gaitanistas de Colombia (AGC); varias dosis de marihuana y 3 equipos de comunicación e información relevante para Inteligencia Militar.

La captura de estos individuos, especialmente la de alias Elkin o el Negro, debilita significativamente la capacidad operativa y criminal del Clan del Golfo en la región.

El Ejército Nacional reafirma su compromiso de seguir trabajando en coordinación con las demás instituciones del Estado para velar por la seguridad y tranquilidad de los habitantes del Magdalena, contribuyendo a la desarticulación de estructuras criminales que delinquen en el territorio nacional.

As part of the Ayacucho Plus Operational Campaign Plan, troops from the Second Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the National Police and the Sijín (National Police Force), captured three alleged members of the Clan del Golfo in two separate operations carried out in the municipalities of Tenerife and El Banco, in the department of Magdalena.

The first operation, carried out in Tenerife, led to the arrest of two individuals believed to belong to the Sergio Antonio Carrascal Gómez substructure of the Clan del Golfo. There, they were caught red-handed for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking, or carrying firearms or ammunition.

Subsequently, in El Banco, thanks to a search warrant and joint work with the Sijín (National Police), the arrest of an alleged member of the Edwin José Sierra Regino substructure of the Clan del Golfo GAO was made. This individual, known as Elkin or «El Negro,» was responsible for mobilizing serious criminal activities, including targeted homicide. It is estimated that he had been within the criminal organization for more than three years.

Alias ​​Elkin or «El Negro» is believed to have been linked to multiple crimes, including manufacturing, trafficking, carrying, or possession of firearms, accessories, parts, or ammunition; Manufacturing, trafficking, and carrying of weapons, ammunition for restricted or exclusive use by the Armed Forces, or explosives; and trafficking, manufacturing, or carrying of narcotics.

During the operations, authorities seized material of interest, including two handguns, magazines, and cartridges of various calibers; a camouflage uniform; two flags and advertising alluding to the Gaitanista Self-Defense Forces of Colombia (AGC); several doses of marijuana; and three communications equipment and information relevant to Military Intelligence.

The capture of these individuals, especially that of alias Elkin or «El Negro,» significantly weakens the operational and criminal capacity of the Gulf Clan in the region.

The National Army reaffirms its commitment to continue working in coordination with other state institutions to ensure the safety and peace of the residents of Magdalena, contributing to the dismantling of criminal organizations operating in the country.
