En operativo de la Fiscalía y los Carabineros puso al descubierto una red que se lucraba vendiendo guadua, cedro rosado y mangle, madera extraída de áreas protegidas cerca del río La Vieja.

En tres locales de la zona encontraron más de 29 metros cúbicos de madera y las pruebas que confirman el negocio ilegal que venían explotando.

Los que estrían detrás de este daño ambiental eran José Martín Londoño Orozco, José Dorian Laverde, Rossemberg Lozano barrera y Osvaldo Tamaño Restrepo, quienes según las autoridades, eran los dueños o encargados de estos sitios donde se comercializaban los productos sin permiso ambiental, sin registro en Cámara de Comercio y sin cumplir un solo requisito legal.

por ahora están judicializados por aprovecharse de los recursos naturales sin permiso, y tendrán que responder ante la justicia.

Los procesados no aceptaron los cargos y seguirán vinculados a la investigación.

En ese sentido, un fiscal de la Dirección Especializada contra los delitos contra los recursos naturales y el Medio ambiente les imputó el delito de aprovechamiento ilícito de los recursos naturales renovables.

An operation by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Carabineros uncovered a network that profited from selling guadua, pink cedar, and mangrove wood extracted from protected areas near the La Vieja River.

In three locations in the area, they found more than 29 cubic meters of wood and evidence confirming the illegal business they were operating.

Those behind this environmental damage were José Martín Londoño Orozco, José Dorian Laverde, Rossemberg Lozano Barriada, and Osvaldo Tamaño Restrepo, who, according to authorities, were the owners or managers of these sites where the products were sold without an environmental permit, without registration with the Chamber of Commerce, and without complying with a single legal requirement.

For now, they are facing charges of exploiting natural resources without permission and will face prosecution.

The defendants pleaded no contest to the charges and will remain involved in the investigation.

In this regard, a prosecutor from the Specialized Directorate for Crimes Against Natural Resources and the Environment charged them with illegal exploitation of renewable natural resources.
