El lunes 19 de mayo de 2025, el carismático Pare Nelson Giraldo Mejía, fue nombrado nuevo presidente de la Academia de Historia Eclesiástica de Pereira Monse Baltasar Álvarez Restrepo, relevando al teólogo y Psicólogo, Presbítero Aníbal Hartado Hurtado.

Como Vicepresidente fue elegido el filósofo Padre Jun Manuel Vargas Morales, escritor, Maestro de Historia y Párroco del Divino Maestro.

La elección se realizó, minutos después del primer encuentro oficial entre integrantes de la Academia con Monseñor Nelson Jair Cardona Ramírez Obispo de la diocesis de Pereira acordando la continuidad de los estudios sobe patrimonio histórico  de la Dieseis que actualmente cobija 111 Parroquias. Agrupadas  en 8 Vicarías.

El Padre Aníbal Hurtado, teólogo y fundador del del Colegio Baltasar Álvarez Restrepo, deja huellas imborrables como presidente durante seis años  consecutivos , publicado valiosísimos libros ; , el primero “(172 páginas9,  DONDE ESCRIBIERON TODOS LOS INTRANTES DE LA Academia, 55 minio grafías  de Religiosos que ya partieron al encuentro con el señor.

El miércoles 10 de agosto 2022 fueron presentados los libros : “Abriendo un nuevo milenio”, escrito por el padre Gilberto Hernández Nieto, recogiendo cinco ciclos.

El Padre Jojn Jairo Granada Giraldo fue compilador del “Legado de Monseñor <Mario Giraldo Zuluaga, entregando orientaciones para la formación de los Seminaristas.

“Diosecis de Pereira 70 Años”, un nutrido libro del gran historiador PADRE Juan Manuel Vargas Morales, sobre el proceso de creación de la diocesis, tres escritores se unieron para celebrar el libro “70 Años,70 hechos”, el Padre Behitman Césped es de los Ríos, Yaffa Ivette Gómez y Javier Alfonso López.

Co el Decreto 2046 mayo 7/2019,Monseñor Roberto Corredor Bermúdez creó la “Academia de Historia Eclesiástica de Pereira Monseñor Baltasar Álvarez Restrepo”,  para mantener la memoria Eclesiástica  de la diocesis y como homenaje a su primer OBISPO .

Se posesiono oficialmente , en horas de la mañana viernes 19 de julio 2019 en el “Salón Trono”, de la Diocesis-.

On Monday, May 19, 2025, the charismatic Father Nelson Giraldo Mejía was appointed the new president of the Monse Baltasar Álvarez Restrepo Academy of Ecclesiastical History of Pereira, replacing the theologian and psychologist, Father Aníbal Hartado Hurtado.

Elected as Vice President was the philosopher Father Jun Manuel Vargas Morales, writer, history teacher, and parish priest of the Divine Master.

The election took place minutes after the first official meeting between members of the Academy and Bishop Nelson Jair Cardona Ramírez, Bishop of the Diocese of Pereira, agreeing to continue the studies on historical heritage of the Diocese of Pereira, which currently encompasses 111 parishes, grouped into eight vicariates.

Father Aníbal Hurtado, theologian and founder of the Baltasar Álvarez Restrepo School, left indelible marks as president for six consecutive years, publishing valuable books; , the first «(172 pages9), WHERE ALL THE ACADEMY’S INITIATIVES WROTE, 55 miniaturized works by religious who have already departed to meet the Lord.

On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, the following books were presented: «Opening a New Millennium,» written by Father Gilberto Hernández Nieto, compiling five cycles.

He was officially sworn in on the morning of Friday, July 19, 2019, in the «Throne Room» of the Diocese.
