Ejército Nacional y Policía incautaron 180 kilos de marihuana en zona rural de La Plata, Huila.

En el marco de las operaciones de control territorial que se adelantan en el departamento del Huila, tropas de la Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional, a través del Batallón de Infantería N.° 26 Cacique Pigoanza, en coordinación con el Grupo de Operaciones Especiales de la Policía Huila (GOES), propinaron un contundente golpe contra el narcotráfico.

Durante labores de patrullaje en la vereda Bajo Cabuyal, zona rural del municipio de La Plata, fue ubicado un vehículo abandonado en condiciones sospechosas. Al proceder con la inspección del automotor, se hallaron en su interior 35 paquetes grandes envueltos en cinta vinipel negra que contenían una sustancia vegetal con características similares a la marihuana.

Tras la verificación y una vez realizado el pesaje correspondiente, se estableció que el cargamento alcanzaba un total de 180 kilogramos del narcótico.

Teniendo en cuenta que una dosis promedio de marihuana equivale a 0,5 gramos, esta incautación representa la salida de circulación de aproximadamente 360.000 dosis, evitando su comercialización ilegal y consumo, especialmente entre jóvenes y menores de edad.

Este resultado operacional constituye un avance significativo en la lucha contra el narcotráfico y un aporte concreto a la protección de la salud pública y la seguridad ciudadana, al impedir que sustancias psicoactivas lleguen a entornos escolares, comunitarios y familiares, donde generan adicción, violencia y deterioro social.

La Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional reafirma su compromiso con la protección de las comunidades huilenses y continuará desarrollando operaciones conjuntas, coordinadas e interinstitucionales, con el objetivo de garantizar un territorio seguro y libre de economías ilícitas.

During patrol work in the Bajo Cabuyal area, a rural area of the municipality of La Plata, an abandoned vehicle was located in suspicious condition. Upon inspecting the vehicle, 35 large packages wrapped in black vinyl tape were found inside, containing a plant-based substance with characteristics similar to marijuana.

After verification and weighing, it was determined that the shipment totaled 180 kilograms of the narcotic.

Considering that an average dose of marijuana is equivalent to 0.5 grams, this seizure represents the removal of approximately 360,000 doses from circulation, preventing its illegal sale and consumption, especially among young people and minors.

This operational result constitutes significant progress in the fight against drug trafficking and a concrete contribution to the protection of public health and citizen safety by preventing psychoactive substances from reaching schools, communities, and families, where they generate addiction, violence, and social deterioration.

The Ninth Brigade of the National Army reaffirms its commitment to the protection of Huila communities and will continue to carry out joint, coordinated, and inter-institutional operations, with the goal of guaranteeing a safe territory free of illicit economies.
