Ejército Nacional y Policía incautan más de una tonelada de marihuana destinado al tráfico internacional en el Vaupés.

En desarrollo de las acciones permanentes contra el narcotráfico y el crimen organizado, el Ejército Nacional y la Policía Nacional de Colombia lograron un contundente resultado contra las economías ilícitas en el departamento del Vaupés. 

22 December 2025 08:29 AMEl procedimiento se llevó a cabo en el sector conocido como Dos Islas, zona rural del municipio de Carurú, a aproximadamente cinco horas del casco urbano por vía fluvial. En este lugar, las autoridades ubicaron una caleta a la orilla del río Vaupés, que contenía cerca 1300 kilogramos de marihuana, avaluada en 2860 millones de pesos.

Este importante resultado operativo fue posible gracias al trabajo articulado de inteligencia, verificación en el área y coordinación entre las unidades del Ejército Nacional y la Policía Nacional, que permitió anticiparse a las intenciones de las estructuras criminales que operan en la región.

De acuerdo con las investigaciones preliminares, el estupefaciente tendría como destino el Estado Federal de Brasil, haciendo parte de una ruta criminal transnacional utilizada a la exportación de sustancias alucinógenas. Estas actividades ilícitas estarían siendo lideradas por estructuras armadas organizadas residuales (GAO-r), al servicio de alias Iván Mordisco.

Con este contundente golpe se afectan de manera significativa las finanzas de estas organizaciones criminales, se evita la circulación de una gran cantidad de droga en mercados internacionales y se contribuye de forma directa a la seguridad y tranquilidad de la región amazónica.

El Ejército Nacional reitera su compromiso inquebrantable en la lucha contra el narcotráfico e invita a la comunidad a continuar suministrando información de manera oportuna y confidencial a través de las líneas institucionales, como parte fundamental para el éxito de las operaciones.

National Army and Police seize more than a ton of marijuana destined for international trafficking in Vaupés.

As part of ongoing operations against drug trafficking and organized crime, the Colombian National Army and National Police achieved a significant victory against illicit economies in the department of Vaupés.

The operation took place in the area known as Dos Islas, a rural zone in the municipality of Carurú, approximately five hours from the town center by river. There, authorities located a stash on the banks of the Vaupés River containing approximately 1,300 kilograms of marijuana, valued at 2.86 billion pesos.

This significant operational result was made possible by the coordinated intelligence work, on-site verification, and collaboration between units of the National Army and the National Police, which allowed them to anticipate the intentions of criminal organizations operating in the region.

According to preliminary investigations, the drugs were destined for the Federal State of Brazil, forming part of a transnational criminal route used for the export of hallucinogenic substances. These illicit activities are allegedly being led by residual organized armed groups (GAO-r), under the command of alias Iván Mordisco.

This decisive blow significantly impacts the finances of these criminal organizations, prevents the circulation of a large quantity of drugs in international markets, and directly contributes to the security and peace of the Amazon region.
