Ejército Nacional recupera cilindros que fueron hurtados en Tuluá, Valle del Cauca.

En una reacción rápida, el Ejército Nacional logró recuperar los cilindros hurtados y evitar posibles acciones terroristas en el departamento.

En una acción militar adelantada en las últimas horas, tropas de la Tercera Brigada del Ejército Nacional lograron recuperar 113 cilindros de gas propano que habían sido hurtados en Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, por el Frente 57 Yaír Bermúdez, de las disidencias de las FARC.

Mediante labores de inteligencia y tras conocerse el hurto de estos cilindros, soldados del Batallón de Montaña N.º 10 adelantaron un despliegue operacional de labores de búsqueda y localización en corredores estratégicos de la media y alta montaña que permitieron ubicar los cilindros en la vereda La Moralia, en zona rural de este municipio.

En el sitio el Ejército Nacional recuperó 15 cilindros de 10 kg, 5 de 20 kg, 16 de 15 kg y 77 de 18 kg.

En el momento del hurto, los cilindros se encontraban totalmente cargados, hecho que incrementaba el riesgo de ser usados para actividades terroristas contra la Fuerza Pública y la población civil por parte de este grupo armado organizado.

El hecho delictivo fue denunciado oportunamente por la empresa transportadora ante las autoridades regionales, lo que permitió una reacción inmediata y la recuperación del material en un corto período de tiempo.

El material recuperado fue puesto a disposición de las autoridades competentes para continuar con la investigación. 

El Ejército Nacional reafirma su compromiso en la lucha contra el terrorismo y la protección de la soberanía nacional y hace un llamado a la ciudadanía a denunciar cualquier hecho delictivo en la línea 147 del Gaula Militar y 107 antiterrorismo, fortaleciendo así las redes de apoyo ciudadanas para contrarrestar estas actividades ilícitas en el departamento.

National Army recovers cylinders stolen in Tuluá, Valle del Cauca.

In a swift response, the National Army recovered the stolen cylinders and prevented potential terrorist attacks in the department.

In a military operation carried out in recent hours, troops from the Third Brigade of the National Army recovered 113 propane gas cylinders that had been stolen in Tuluá, Valle del Cauca, by the 57th Front Yaír Bermúdez, a dissident group of the FARC.

Following intelligence work and after learning of the theft of these cylinders, soldiers from the 10th Mountain Battalion carried out an operational deployment of search and location efforts in strategic corridors of the mid and high mountain terrain, which led them to the cylinders in the La Moralia village, in the rural area of ​​this municipality.

At the site, the National Army recovered 15 ten-kilogram cylinders, 5 twenty-kilogram cylinders, 16 fifteen-kilogram cylinders, and 77 eighteen-kilogram cylinders.

At the time of the theft, the cylinders were fully loaded, which increased the risk of their use in terrorist activities against the Public Force and the civilian population by this organized armed group.

The crime was promptly reported by the transport company to the regional authorities, allowing for an immediate response and the recovery of the material in a short period of time.

The recovered material was turned over to the competent authorities for further investigation.

The National Army reaffirms its commitment to the fight against terrorism and the protection of national sovereignty and calls on citizens to report any criminal activity to the Military Gaula hotline at 147 and the Anti-Terrorism hotline at 107, thus strengthening citizen support networks to counteract these illicit activities in the department.
