Desde hoy, 13 de febrero, y hasta el próximo 15 de mayo estarán abiertas las inscripciones en la Escuela Militar de Cadetes. En el Eje Cafetero, usted puede obtener más información en las zonas y distritos militares de Manizales, Pereira y Armenia.

El Ejército Nacional, a través de la Escuela Militar de Cadetes General José María Córdova, abrió sus inscripciones para los jóvenes de Colombia que quieran cambiar su vida e iniciar un nuevo proyecto cómo futuros oficiales de la institución.

La convocatoria está dirigida a hombres y mujeres colombianos, entre los 16 y 21 años, que no registren antecedentes penales, disciplinarios o fiscales y presenten su certificado de las pruebas Icfes.

Adicionalmente, se ofrecen varios beneficios económicos y académicos, entre los cuales se da la posibilidad de realizar movilidad académica internacional en calidad de comisión transitoria o permanente con países como Estados Unidos, Alemania, Reino Unido, Canadá, Francia, España, Corea del Sur, Italia, Argentina, Chile, Brasil, Perú y Paraguay.

Entre los beneficios económicos se encuentran los siguientes descuentos: si es hijo de militares activos o retirados, un 30 % de descuento en la matrícula; población
afrodescendiente, 30 %; hermano de cadete, 10 %; deportistas de alto rendimiento, hasta el 100 %, beneficio gratuidad en la matrícula de acuerdo con el Decreto 1907/2023; reservistas obtienen gratuidad en el valor de la matrícula de acuerdo con la Ley 2384/2024, artículo 08.

The National Army, through the General José María Córdova Military Cadet School, has opened its recruitment for young people in Colombia who want to change their lives and begin a new project as future officers of the institution.

The call is open to Colombian men and women between the ages of 16 and 21 who have no criminal, disciplinary, or tax record and present their ICFES test certificate.

Additionally, several economic and academic benefits are offered, including the possibility of participating in international academic exchange programs, either on a temporary or permanent basis, with countries such as the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Spain, South Korea, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Peru, and Paraguay.

Among the economic benefits are the following discounts: 30% off tuition for children of active or retired military personnel; 30% for Afro-descendant students; 10% for siblings of cadets; and up to 100% off for high-performance athletes, with tuition waived in accordance with Decree 1907/2023. Reservists receive tuition waivers in accordance with Law 2384/2024, Article 8.
