El 21 de octubre se celebra el Día Mundial del Ahorro de Energía, una fecha cuyo origen es un poco incierto. Es indudable que este día debe celebrarse, pues representa nuestro futuro. Pero cuando buscamos su origen encontramos fuentes limitadas al respecto.
Algunos hacen referencia a que fue instaurado en el 2012 por el Foro Energético Mundial, sin embargo, no hay muchos detalles al respecto. Lo que sí parece estar claro es que se celebra el 21 de octubre y que se creó con la intención de conservar los recursos naturales y para lograr eficiencia en el área energética. En todo caso, lo importante es lo que representa, ya que el cuidado del medio ambiente es una tarea que nos corresponde a todos, pues aquí vivimos, aquí compartimos y aquí queremos que sigan nuestros hijos.
Las energías se van agotando, el cambio climático ya no es una predicción y el medio ambiente sufre las consecuencias de nuestras acciones.

October 21 is World Energy Saving Day, a date whose origin is somewhat uncertain. There is no doubt that this day should be celebrated, as it represents our future. But when we search for its origin, we find limited sources on the subject.
Some mention that it was established in 2012 by the World Energy Forum, however, there are few details about it. What does seem clear is that it is celebrated on October 21st and that it was created with the intention of conserving natural resources and achieving energy efficiency. In any case, what’s important is what it represents, since caring for the environment is a task that concerns us all, because we live here, we share our lives here, and we want our children to continue to live here.
Energy is running out, climate change is no longer a prediction, and the environment suffers the consequences of our actions.
