1982 vio nacer en el mundo del periodismo a   EL DIAIO DEL OTÚN , que con el paso del tiempo se convirtió en EL DIRIO, el periódico de los pereiranos.

Mucho ha cambiado en el país  en la región en estos 42 años, pero lo que sí permanece inquebrantable es la tabla de principios con que fue fundado el periódico: la busqueda de la verdad, contarla con integridad y ser el reflejo honesto de nuestra gente.

Esas premisas se han mantenido inmodificables a los largo de las 14.242 ediciones y las 420.000 páginas impresas en estos  15.330 días de existencia de EL DIARIO.

1982 saw the birth of EL DIAIO DEL OTún in the world of journalism, which over time became EL DIRIO, the newspaper of the people of Pereira.

Much has changed in the country in the region in these 42 years, but what remains unbreakable is the table of principles with which the newspaper was founded: the search for the truth, telling it with integrity and being an honest reflection of our people. These premises have remained unchanged throughout the 14,242 editions and 420,000 pages printed in these 15,330 days of existence of EL DIARIO.
