Nubia Martínez renunció a la dirección del Cetro democrático y como su remplazo temporal, se designó al excongresista, Gabriel Vellejo Chujfi.

Las reacciones del partido fueron mayormente positivas, mostrando optimismo ante el liderazgo de Vallejo.

Es un gran honor dirigir el partido Centro Democrático, un partido de oposición.

Agradezo al ex presidente Álvaro Uribe Vélez,  y a la bancada e congresistas por aceptar esta designación.

Vallejo destacó la importancia de explicar a los ciudadanos las implicaciones de reformas en áreas como salud, pensiones y laboral.

Nubia Martinez resigned from the leadership of the Democratic Scepter and as her temporary replacement, was designated the former congressman, Gabriel Vellejo Chujfi.

Reactions from the party were mostly positive, showing optimism towards Vallejo’s leadership.

It is a great honor to lead the Democratic Center party, an opposition party.

I thank former President Álvaro Uribe Vélez, and the bench and congressmen for accepting this appointment.

Vallejo stressed the importance of explaining to citizens the implications of reforms in areas such as health, pensions and labour.
