Abierta convocatoria para el concurso mundial de los mejores pueblos para  el Turismo Rural

El Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo de Colombia (MinCIT) se complace en invitar, por segundo año consecutivo, a todas las entidades municipales a participar en el prestigioso concurso Internacional promovido por la ONU Turismo Internacional conocida como la Organización Mundial de Turismo.

La convocatoria, dirigida al programa Best Tourism Villages, tiene como objetivo destacar aquellos pueblos donde el turismo desempeña un papel fundamental en la preservación de la cultura, las tradiciones, la diversidad la generación de oportunidades y la protección de la biodiversidad.

Colombia, como Estado miembro de la ONU turismo, seleccionará nuevamente a ocho pueblos para, a participar en este concurso a través de una convocatoria pública,  disponible para las entidades municipales, la cual estará abierta hasta el próximo 30 de marzo.

Los municipios nominados  deben tener menos de 15.000 habitantes y estar ubicados  en entornos con actividades tradicionales, como la agricultura, silvicultura o ganadería.

Además deben reflejar los valores y el estilo de vida de sus comunidades a través del turismo.

Las entidades municipales interesadas podrán postularse completando el formulario correspondiente, donde deberán detallar su proceso de gestión turística en relación con los criterios establecidos por la ONU.

Turismo para la entrega del galardón.

Estos criterios incluyen aspectos como recursos culturales y naturales, promoción y conservación  de recursos culturales, sostenibilidad  económica,  social y ambiental, desarrollo turístico e integración de la cadena  de valor, gobernanza y priorización  del turismo, infraestructura y conectividad, así como salud y seguridad.

Además del formulario, las entidades municipales deberán enviar el certificado de censo de habitantes del municipio expedido por el DANE y una presentación en formato Power Point Que detalle las acciones desarrolladas por el municipio en materia de turismo rural y sotenibilidad, al correo electrónico turismo-culturalmincit.gov.co.

El equipo técnico del Viceministerio de Turismo será el encargado de evaluar las postulaciones  recibidas,  anunciando a los ocho pueblos seleccionados  para representar a Colombia en este concurso internacional el 24 de abril de 2024.

Open call for the world contest of the best towns for Rural Tourism

OF RURAL TOURISM, AND A MUNICIPALITY OF THE AXIS

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia (MinCIT) is pleased to invite, for the second consecutive year, all municipal entities to participate in the prestigious International contest promoted by the UN International Tourism known as the World Tourism Organization.

The call, aimed at the Best Tourism Villages program, aims to highlight those towns where tourism plays a fundamental role in the preservation of culture, traditions, diversity, the generation of opportunities and the protection of biodiversity.

Colombia, as a member state of the UN tourism, will once again select eight towns to participate in this contest through a public call, available to municipal entities, which will be open until March 30.

The nominated municipalities must have less than 15,000 inhabitants and be located in environments with traditional activities, such as agriculture, forestry or livestock.

They must also reflect the values and lifestyle of their communities through tourism.

Interested municipal entities may apply by completing the corresponding form, where they must detail their tourism management process in relation to the criteria established by the UN.

Tourism for the award ceremony.

These criteria include aspects such as cultural and natural resources, promotion and conservation of cultural resources, economic, social and environmental sustainability, tourism development and value chain integration, tourism governance and prioritization, infrastructure and connectivity, as well as health and safety.

In addition to the form, municipal entities must send the census certificate of inhabitants of the municipality issued by DANE and a presentation in Power Point format detailing the actions developed by the municipality in the field of rural tourism and sustainability, to the email tourism-culturalmincit .gov.co.

The technical team of the Vice Ministry of Tourism will be in charge of evaluating the applications received, announcing the eight towns selected to represent Colombia in this international competition on April 24, 2024.
