I
II
Jamás nos detienen peligros ni horrores
si nobles mandatos debemos cumplir
y somos felices quitando dolores
al ver que por otros debemos morir
III

INVALUABLE WORK OF FIREFIGHTERS IN COLOMBIA
By: Luis Alberto Figueroa T.P. 0222 MEN-COLOMBIA
Philanthropy, true love for others, accompanies each of the Volunteer Firefighters in the entire Colombian territory in their hearts, as recorded in the chorus of their national anthem: “… duty calls us, a calm face and a serene soul.” / Let us offer life with all pleasure.”
Thousands of men and women are always ready to provide help to their fellow men who come to their effective services; in all fields, fires, tragedies, impact on the Environment and the care of natural resources; responding positively to the second stanza of his hymn composed by a Palmyra native (dimensional poet Ricardo Nieto) and the music of Samuel Gaviria: “Dangers and horrors never stop us / if we must fulfill noble mandates / and we are happy taking away pain / seeing that for Others of us must die.”
This is the complete anthem of the VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS OF COLOMBIA that, every day, we sing with love; I do it sacredly as an effective Lieutenant of the Palmira-Valle Fire Department.
HYMN TO THE FIREFIGHTER
Chorus
Make way for us, the siren sounded
with tongues of fire duty calls us
the calm face and the serene soul
we offer life with deep pleasure
Yo
The flames spread their funereal wings
cries of anguish and pain are heard
Firefighters up! Hang the ladders
What matters is life, if honor remains!
II
Dangers and horrors never stop us
if noble mandates we must fulfill
and we are happy removing pain
seeing that for others we must die
III
Our motto is to serve men
let us gladly fulfill such a noble mission
in the middle of flames, our names are seen
at the foot of the shield of self-denial
IV
The water that jumps gently is sister
of every firefighter his older sister
with it, we return to the sound of the reveille
and in it we have put faith and honor.
