INICIA EL AÑO ELECTORAL.

SE INICIÓ EL AÑO ELECTORLA PARA PRESIDENCIA, SENADO Y CÁMARA DE REPRESENTANTES.

Con la entrega el jueves anterior del calendario pr elecciones la Registraduría Nacional del estado Civil que terminar aran el 21 de junio del año entrante, si hay segunda vuelta presidencial,  con la elección  de quien debe remplazar a Gustavo Francisco Prieto Urrego, , se inió el proceso electoral 2026.

El calendario inició el pasado sábado con la apertura del periodo para la inscripción de cédulas  para modificar el lugar de votación por cambio de sitio de residencia, , cual se extenderá hasta el 8 de enero entrante, exactamente dos meses antes del día de las elecciones  para congreso de la República.

La siguiente fecha importante  e el calendario es el 26 de octubre, día en que  se realizarán las consultas populares, internas interpartidistas de los partidos y movimientos jurídicos con personería para la escogencia de los  candidatos.

La tercera es el 8 de noviembre, día en que empezará el periodo de inscripción de aspirantes al Congreso y que iría hasta el 8 de diciembre.

El 31 de enero es el día establecido para el inicio de la inscripción inscripción de candidatos a la presidencia de la República y de promotores del voto en blanco, , periodo que será cerrado el 13 de marzo, fecha en la cual empieza la correr presidencial; y ese mismo día empezaran las inhabilidades para quienes quieran participar en la elección para esa dignidad.

El Registrador Nacional ha anunciado, para garantizar la mayor participación en los procesos electorales  del año entrante, un aumento significativo tanto en los puestos de votación  como en las mesas, al pasar de 112.000 a 127.000 en las elecciones para Congreso y de 102.000 a 125 en las presidenciales.

Los anuncios el Registrador son muy importantes en el proceso que se inicia, pero nada será útil al final si el país no puede contar con las condiciones que permitan votar libremente.

THE ELECTION YEAR FOR THE PRESIDENCY, SENATE AND CHAMBER OF REPRESENTATIVES HAS BEGUN.

With the delivery last Thursday of the calendar for the elections of the National Registry of Civil Status that will end on June 21 of next year, if there is a second presidential round, with the election of who should replace Gustavo Francisco Prieto Urrego, the electoral process for 2026 began.

The calendar began last Saturday with the opening of the period for the registration of ID cards to modify the voting place due to a change of residence, which will extend until January 8 of next year, exactly two months before the day of the elections for the Congress of the Republic.

The next important date on the calendar is October 26, the day on which popular consultations will be held, internal inter-party consultations of the parties and legal movements with legal status for the selection of candidates.

The third is November 8, the day on which the registration period for candidates for Congress will begin and which will last until December 8.

January 31 is the day established for the beginning of the registration of candidates for the presidency of the Republic and of promoters of the blank vote, a period that will be closed on March 13, the date on which the presidential race begins; and on that same day the disqualifications for those who want to participate in the election for that position will begin.

To ensure the greatest participation in next year’s electoral processes, the National Registrar has announced a significant increase in both polling stations and tables, from 112,000 to 127,000 in the elections for Congress and from 102,000 to 125 in the presidential elections. The Registrar’s announcements are very important in the process that is beginning, but nothing will be useful in the end if the country cannot count on the conditions that allow for free voting.
