Ejército Nacional y Policía incautaron más de 3000 cartuchos para armas largas en Bogotá.

En el marco del Plan Ayacucho Plus, tropas del Gaula Militar de la Brigada 13, en coordinación con la Dijín de la Policía Nacional, lograron en las últimas horas la captura de dos sujetos por el presunto delito de fabricación, tráfico, porte o tenencia de armas de fuego, accesorios, partes y/o municiones.

La operación militar se desarrolló en el barrio Candelaria La Nueva, ubicado en la localidad de Ciudad Bolívar, donde se consiguió la incautación de más de 3000 cartuchos de munición de los calibres 5.56 mm y 7.62 mm.

De acuerdo con las investigaciones preliminares, este material de guerra tendría como destino grupos armados organizados que delinquen en los departamentos de Santander, Norte de Santander y Cesar, lo que representa un importante golpe a las economías ilegales y a las redes logísticas de estas estructuras criminales.

Los capturados, junto con el material incautado, fueron puestos a disposición de las autoridades competentes para continuar con el proceso judicial correspondiente.

De esta manera, las tropas de la Décima Tercera Brigada del Ejército Nacional reafirman su compromiso permanente con la seguridad y la tranquilidad de los habitantes del centro del país, trabajando de manera articulada con las demás instituciones del Estado para contrarrestar el accionar delictivo.

National Army and Police seize more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition for long guns in Bogotá.

As part of Plan Ayacucho Plus, troops from the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Group) of the 13th Brigade, in coordination with the National Police’s DIJIN (Criminal Investigation Directorate), arrested two individuals in recent hours for the alleged crime of manufacturing, trafficking, possessing, or carrying firearms, accessories, parts, and/or ammunition.

The military operation took place in the Candelaria La Nueva neighborhood, located in the Ciudad Bolívar district, where more than 3,000 rounds of ammunition of 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm calibers were seized.

According to preliminary investigations, this war materiel was destined for organized armed groups operating in the departments of Santander, Norte de Santander, and Cesar, representing a significant blow to the illegal economies and logistical networks of these criminal organizations.

The detainees, along with the seized materials, were turned over to the appropriate authorities for further legal proceedings.

In this way, the troops of the Thirteenth Brigade of the National Army reaffirm their ongoing commitment to the safety and security of the inhabitants of central Colombia, working in close coordination with other state institutions to combat criminal activity.
