ANDREA PETRO, HIJA DEL PRESIDENTE, SE METIÓ EN PELEA ENTRE BENEDETTI Y LINA MARÍA GARRIDO: “CON RAZÓN”.

Bastante tensa estuvo la instalación del Congreso este domingo, 20 de julio, tras la intervención de algunos congresistas, entre estos, la representante Lina María Garrido, de Cambio Radical, quien acusó al presidente Gustavo Petro de “traicionar a Colombia”.

Además, entre las varias cosas que le dijo al presidente Petro, la congresista se mostró arrepentida por haberle dado su voto.

“Yo voté por usted como lo hicieron 11 millones de colombianos. (…) Lo hicimos porque estábamos cansados de las promesas, le dimos la oportunidad. (…) Hoy tres años después, no hay nada que mostrar, no hay un logro que mostrar. Usted traicionó a Colombia”, le dijo Garrido al presidente Petro, en plena plenaria del Senado.

Tras el tenso ambiente ayer 20 de julio en el Senado, la congresista Garrido y el ministro del Interior, Armando Benedetti, se han ‘dado duro’ en las redes sociales.

Y, quien no pudo guardar silencio en medio de esa pelea entre Garrido y Benedetti, fue Andrea Petro, hija del presidente Gustavo Petro, quien comentó una respuesta de la congresista, al ministro Benedetti.

“Píntelas ministro”, le respondió Garrido al ministro a través de su cuenta en X, luego de que este dijera en la misma red social que la denunciará “por su mala fe, imprecisiones y mentiras en medios de comunicación y en redes sociales, la he denunciado penalmente por injuria y calumnia”.

Transcurridos 20 minutos de la publicación de Garrido, Andrea Petro comentó de manera irónica su publicación. Junto a su mensaje, un emoticón.

“Ah, ya… ¿Ella es la del sombrero? Con razón… Ya a todos se nos olvidó quién era”, dijo puntualmente la hija del presidente Petro.

“Cafre, drogadicto y agresor de mujeres”

Sin hacer énfasis en algún nombre, el ministro Bedenetti compartió otra publicación en X en la que habló de una: “persona vulgar, ordinaria, grosera, sin preparación, sin argumentos, y sin cifras”.

En ese mismo trino, Benedetti aseguró que Colombia es un país de “cafres”.

“Este es un país de cafres, dijo Echandía. Magistral discurso de @petrogustavo y no hubo nadie de la oposición que haya revertido con estadísticas lo que él dijo. Pero los medios sí recogen lo de una persona vulgar, ordinaria, grosera, sin preparación, sin argumentos, y sin cifras dijo. A pesar de las falsas narrativas de los medios, queda claro el éxito del Gobierno en la economía, en lo social, en la reivindicación de la clase trabajadora, en el turismo y la agricultura. Por eso, en encuestas que son adversas al Gobierno aparece con más del 40 % de aprobación”, fue el mensaje completo de Benedetti, esta mañana de lunes 21 de julio.

Tras lo anterior, la congresista de Cambio Radical le respondió al ministro con otro duro mensaje. Lo llamó “drogadicto y agresor de mujeres”, y hasta le sacó en cara algunos temas personales que generaron, en su momento, polémica.

“Respete a Colombia; aquí el único ‘cafre’ es usted, drogadicto y agresor de mujeres. Y ni se le ocurra amenazarme con cuchillo, como lo hizo con su esposa en España: le iría mal; yo sí me le paro duro», le respondió la congresista a Benedetti.

The opening of Congress was quite tense this Sunday, July 20, after several congressmen spoke, including Representative Lina María Garrido of Cambio Radical, who accused President Gustavo Petro of «betraying Colombia.»

Furthermore, among the various things she said to President Petro, the congresswoman expressed regret for having voted for him.

«I voted for you, as did 11 million Colombians. (…) We did it because we were tired of your promises; we gave you the opportunity. (…) Today, three years later, there is nothing to show for it, no achievement to show for it. You betrayed Colombia,» Garrido told President Petro during the Senate plenary session. Following the tense atmosphere in the Senate yesterday, July 20, Congresswoman Garrido and Interior Minister Armando Benedetti have been going at it hard on social media.

And, unable to remain silent amidst this dispute between Garrido and Benedetti, was Andrea Petro, daughter of President Gustavo Petro, who commented on the congresswoman’s response to Minister Benedetti.

«Paint them, Minister,» Garrido responded to the minister through her X account, after he said on the same social network that he will report her «for your bad faith, inaccuracies, and lies in the media and on social media, I have filed a criminal complaint against you for libel and slander.»

Twenty minutes after Garrido’s post, Andrea Petro ironically commented on her post. Along with her message, she posted an emoticon.

“A scumbag, drug addict, and abuser of women”

Without emphasizing any name, Minister Bedenetti shared another post on X in which he spoke of a “vulgar, ordinary, rude, unprepared person, without arguments, and without figures.”

In that same tweet, Benedetti asserted that Colombia is a country of “scumbags.”

“This is a country of scumbags,” said Echandía. A masterful speech by @petrogustavo, and no one in the opposition has refuted what he said with statistics. But the media does report what a vulgar, ordinary, rude, unprepared person, without arguments, and without figures, said. Despite the media’s false narratives, the government’s success in the economy, in social matters, in the vindication of the working class, in tourism, and in agriculture is clear. That is why, in polls that are adverse to the government, it appears with over 40% approval,” was Benedetti’s full message this morning, Monday, July 21. Following this, the Cambio Radical congresswoman responded to the minister with another harsh message. She called him a “drug addict and abuser of women,” and even brought up some personal issues that sparked controversy at the time.

“Respect Colombia; the only ‘boor’ here is you, a drug addict and abuser of women. And don’t even think about threatening me with a knife, like you did to your wife in Spain: it would go badly for you; I will stand up to you,” the congresswoman responded to Benedetti.
