Afectaciones decisivas contra estructuras del Clan del Golfo en el Magdalena Medio.

En las últimas horas fueron capturados dos presuntos sicarios vinculados con recientes homicidios en Yondó, Antioquia, y un sujeto relacionado con intimidaciones, extorsiones y quema de maquinaria amarilla en Landázuri, Santander.

En el marco de las operaciones ofensivas que adelanta el Ejército Nacional, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional y la Fiscalía General de la Nación, se lograron dos importantes resultados que afectan de manera directa las capacidades criminales del Clan del Golfo en esta región del país.

El golpe más contundente se produjo en el corregimiento de San Miguel del Tigre, jurisdicción de Yondó, Antioquia, donde mediante labores de patrullaje fueron capturados alias Chuler y alias Jincho, presuntos integrantes del componente criminal focalizado de la Subestructura Édgar Madrid Benjumea, del GAO Clan del Golfo.

De acuerdo con labores de inteligencia adelantadas desde hace un mes, estos sujetos serían parte de la red encargada de ejecutar homicidios selectivos, intimidar a la población civil y mantener un ambiente de zozobra en sectores rurales y urbanos del municipio. Durante su captura se les incautó un revólver calibre 38, 6 cartuchos, celulares y una motocicleta en la que se movilizaban y presuntamente cometían acciones delictivas.

En un segundo hecho, en el corregimiento de Miralindo, jurisdicción de Landázuri, Santander, se realizó la captura en flagrancia de alias Murcias, quien al parecer se hacía pasar como integrante del GAO ELN para adelantar constreñimiento, amenazas y presiones a la población civil, además de realizar propaganda mediante grafitis alusivos a esta organización.

Información obtenida indica que alias Murcias estaría igualmente involucrado en la quema de maquinaria amarilla utilizada para labores de minería, como retaliación por el no pago de extorsiones. En esta acción se incautó un revólver, 6 cartuchos calibre 38 y un teléfono celular.

Todos los capturados fueron dejados a disposición de las autoridades judiciales competentes para continuar con el debido proceso.

Con estos resultados, el Ejército Nacional continúa debilitando las estructuras criminales que buscan intimidar y desestabilizar la seguridad en el Magdalena Medio, reafirmando su compromiso con la protección de la vida, la tranquilidad y la integridad de los habitantes de la región. Así mismo, se invita a la ciudadanía a denunciar cualquier hecho que atente contra la libertad personal, a través de la línea 147 o 147 contra el terrorismo.

Decisive blows against Clan del Golfo structures in the Middle Magdalena region.

In recent hours, two alleged hitmen linked to recent homicides in Yondó, Antioquia, and a man connected to intimidation, extortion, and the burning of heavy machinery in Landázuri, Santander, were captured.

As part of the offensive operations carried out by the National Army, in coordination with the National Police and the Attorney General’s Office, two significant results were achieved that directly impact the criminal capabilities of the Clan del Golfo in this region of the country.

The most significant blow occurred in the village of San Miguel del Tigre, in the municipality of Yondó, Antioquia, where, during patrol operations, alias Chuler and alias Jincho, alleged members of the targeted criminal component of the Édgar Madrid Benjumea Substructure of the Clan del Golfo Organized Armed Group, were captured.

According to intelligence work carried out over the past month, these individuals are believed to be part of a network responsible for carrying out targeted killings, intimidating the civilian population, and maintaining an atmosphere of fear in rural and urban areas of the municipality. During their arrest, authorities seized a .38 caliber revolver, six rounds of ammunition, cell phones, and a motorcycle they allegedly used to travel and commit crimes.

In a separate incident, in the village of Miralindo, within the jurisdiction of Landázuri, Santander, alias «Murcias» was arrested in the act. He allegedly impersonated a member of the ELN armed group to coerce, threaten, and pressure the civilian population, as well as to spread propaganda through graffiti alluding to the organization.

Information obtained indicates that alias «Murcias» is also allegedly involved in the burning of heavy machinery used for mining operations, as retaliation for the non-payment of extortion money. In this operation, a revolver, six .38 caliber cartridges, and a cell phone were seized.

All those arrested were turned over to the appropriate judicial authorities to continue with due process.

With these results, the National Army continues to weaken criminal structures that seek to intimidate and destabilize security in the Magdalena Medio region, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the lives, peace, and safety of the region’s inhabitants. Citizens are also encouraged to report any incident that threatens personal freedom by calling 147 or 147 (the counterterrorism hotline).
