MANGUERAS DE PAZ CONTRA EL FUEGO DEL ODIO: REFLEXIÓN EN EL DÍA INTERNACIONAL DE LOS BOMBEROS.

En este Día Internacional de los Bomberos, rendimos un justo homenaje a quienes arriesgan su integridad para sofocar el fuego que amenaza la vida. Sin embargo, más allá de la emergencia física, esta fecha nos convoca a reflexionar sobre los incendios sociales y morales que hoy consumen gran parte de nuestra humanidad. Es el momento de comprender que, como ciudadanos, debemos utilizar las mangueras de la paz para extinguir las llamas de la violencia.
El fuego más devastador no es aquel que se origina por un accidente forestal o un cortocircuito; el peor incendio es el creado por los genocidas. Estas son llamas alimentadas por la intolerancia y el desprecio absoluto hacia la vida humana, dejando a su paso cenizas de dolor y desolación que tardan generaciones en sanar.
Aún más doloroso que la existencia de estos destructores, es observar la conducta de quienes, desde la barrera, deciden ignorar el humo. Es imperativo señalar que resultan peor aún los que aplauden a los violentos, convirtiéndose en cómplices silenciosos que avivan el fuego.
Esta complicidad suele tener una raíz mezquina: Beneficios Indirectos: Aquellos que celebran la barbarie suelen hacerlo tras recibir prebendas, poder o beneficios económicos, sin importarles que el combustible de su bienestar sea el sufrimiento ajeno. / La Indiferencia Activa: El aplauso a la violencia es el oxígeno que permite que el incendio se propague. Sin espectadores que validen la atrocidad, las llamas perderían su fuerza.
Ser «bomberos de la paz» en este 2026 nos exige un valor civil excepcional. Significa tener la entereza para denunciar el incendio de la violencia dondequiera que se presente y, sobre todo, para señalar a quienes suministran el combustible del odio por conveniencia personal. Que este día nos inspire a ser el agua fresca que apaga los conflictos y la voz firme que se niega a aplaudir la destrucción de la vida.
Cada momento es una oportunidad para sonreírle a la vida. SONRÍA… SONRÍA… SONRÍA… CON AMOR Y ALEGRÍA, AGRADECIÉNDOLE A DIOS: CADA SEGUNDO DE VIDA. –RUDAFRA.

HOSES OF PEACE AGAINST THE FIRE OF HATE: A REFLECTION ON INTERNATIONAL FIREFIGHTERS’ DAY

On this International Firefighters’ Day, we pay a well-deserved tribute to those who risk their lives to extinguish the fires that threaten human life. However, beyond the physical emergency, this day calls us to reflect on the social and moral fires that are consuming much of our humanity today. It is time to understand that, as citizens, we must use the hoses of peace to extinguish the flames of violence.

The most devastating fire is not the one caused by a forest fire or a short circuit; the worst fire is the one created by genocidal forces. These are flames fueled by intolerance and utter contempt for human life, leaving in their wake ashes of pain and desolation that take generations to heal.
Even more painful than the existence of these destroyers is observing the behavior of those who, from the sidelines, choose to ignore the smoke. It is imperative to point out that those who applaud the violent are even worse, becoming silent accomplices who fan the flames.
This complicity often has a petty root: Indirect Benefits: Those who celebrate barbarity often do so after receiving perks, power, or economic benefits, without caring that the fuel for their well-being is the suffering of others. / Active Indifference: Applause for violence is the oxygen that allows the fire to spread. Without spectators who validate the atrocity, the flames would lose their strength.
Being «firefighters of peace» in 2026 demands exceptional civic courage. It means having the strength to denounce the blaze of violence wherever it appears and, above all, to point out those who fuel hatred for personal gain. May this day inspire us to be the cool water that extinguishes conflicts and the firm voice that refuses to applaud the destruction of life.
