El Ejército Nacional y Policía hallaron un depósito ilegal presuntamente del GAO Clan del Golfo en Risaralda.

En en lugar se encontraron armas y municiones, contrarrestando el accionar delictivo de este grupo ilegal en el Eje Cafetero.

En cumplimiento del Plan de Campaña Ayacucho Plus, las tropas del Batallón de Artillería de Campaña No.°8 San Mateo y la Policía de Risaralda lograron la incautación de dos armas largas, tipo fusil, en zona rural del municipio de Mistrató.

Gracias a la información obtenida por el componente de inteligencia militar de la unidad, se logró establecer la presencia de un depósito ilegal en la vereda El Caucho de este municipio risaraldense, que presuntamente pertenece a la subestructura Edwin Román Velásquez Valle, del grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo.

Las tropas, junto a uniformados de la Policía en sus especialidades Sijin y Goes, llegaron hasta el punto identificado previamente donde encontraron dos armas de fuego tipo fusil M16-A4, dos proveedores calibre 5.56 y 60 municiones calibre 5.56.

Esta operación militar representa un golpe contundente en contra de esta subestructura del Clan del Golfo en el departamento de Risaralda, afectando así su capacidad armada y por ende, dando tranquilidad a la población de Mistrató y Risaralda.

El Ejército Nacional reafirma su compromiso de trabajar de manera articulada por la seguridad de los colombianos que habitan en el Eje Cafetero.

The National Army and Police discovered an illegal arms cache allegedly belonging to the Clan del Golfo organized armed group in Risaralda.

Weapons and ammunition were found at the site, countering the criminal activities of this illegal group in the Coffee Region.

In compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops from the No. 8 San Mateo Field Artillery Battalion and the Risaralda Police seized two rifles in a rural area of ​​the municipality of Mistrató.

Thanks to information obtained by the unit’s military intelligence component, the presence of an illegal arms cache was established in the El Caucho village of this Risaralda municipality. This cache allegedly belongs to the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle substructure of the Clan del Golfo organized armed group.

The troops, along with uniformed officers from the Sijin and Goes special forces units of the National Police, arrived at the previously identified location where they found two M16-A4 rifles, two 5.56 caliber magazines, and 60 rounds of 5.56 caliber ammunition.

This military operation represents a significant blow against this substructure of the Clan del Golfo in the department of Risaralda, thus impacting its armed capacity and, consequently, bringing peace of mind to the residents of Mistrató and Risaralda.
