• La evaluación del Plan de Desarrollo y el fortalecimiento del control político marcaron el inicio de este nuevo ciclo legislativo en Risaralda.

Pereira, primero de junio 2025. Con el propósito de fortalecer la democracia y garantizar el seguimiento riguroso a la gestión pública, fue instalado el nuevo periodo de sesiones ordinarias de la Honorable Asamblea Departamental de Risaralda.

La apertura estuvo a cargo de Óscar Alexis Sanabria, secretario de Planeación y Ambiente, quien se asistió al recinto en representación del gobernador Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa.

“Hay un compromiso de la Asamblea Departamental. Por nuestra parte, hemos alcanzado un porcentaje alto de ejecución del Plan de Desarrollo desde el 2024, con un 85 % aproximadamente, teniendo en cuenta que el Plan de Desarrollo hace dos días cumplió un año. Hemos logrado una ejecución en metas bastante altas”, dijo el funcionario.

En el marco de esta apertura se presentó el balance de ejecución del Plan de Desarrollo ‘Risaralda Equitativa e Incluyente’ para la vigencia 2024, que mostró un cumplimiento del 85 % en el presupuesto de inversión y un avance del 96.5 % en las metas programadas. Además, se alcanzó un avance acumulado del 26.3 %, superando el estimado para el primer año.

El componente socio cultural lideró en ejecución, tanto por número de metas como por asignación presupuestal. Estos resultados fueron posibles gracias al trabajo coordinado entre las distintas dependencias de la administración departamental, que avanzan en la formulación de proyectos, la ejecución presupuestal y la implementación de estrategias alineadas con el plan de gobierno.

“Arrancamos los debates de control político para hacerle seguimiento a los programas que nosotros ayudamos a construir y es la oportunidad de revisar cómo ha avanzado esta Gobernación en materia de inversión por todo el departamento”, agregó Pablo Giordanelli, presidente de la Asamblea Departamental. 

Este nuevo periodo legislativo representa no solo un ejercicio democrático, sino una oportunidad para seguir alineando esfuerzos entre el gobierno departamental y la Asamblea, de cara a los desafíos del desarrollo regional. La articulación entre ambos poderes será clave para avanzar en metas comunes y traducir los planes en beneficios tangibles para la ciudadanía.

New regular session of the Risaralda Assembly was established

The evaluation of the Development Plan and the strengthening of political oversight marked the beginning of this new legislative cycle in Risaralda.
Pereira, June 1, 2025. With the purpose of strengthening democracy and ensuring rigorous oversight of public management, the new regular session of the Honorable Departmental Assembly of Risaralda was established.

The opening was led by Óscar Alexis Sanabria, Secretary of Planning and Environment, who attended the meeting on behalf of Governor Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa.

“There is a commitment from the Departmental Assembly. For our part, we have achieved a high percentage of implementation of the Development Plan starting in 2024, at approximately 85%, considering that the Development Plan just turned one year old. We have achieved implementation of quite high goals,” said the official.

As part of this opening, the implementation report of the “Equitable and Inclusive Risaralda” Development Plan for the 2024 period was presented, showing 85% compliance with the investment budget and 96.5% progress toward the planned goals. Additionally, a cumulative progress of 26.3% was achieved, exceeding the estimate for the first year.

The sociocultural component led the way in implementation, both in terms of the number of goals and budget allocation. These results were possible thanks to the coordinated work among the various departments of the departmental administration, which are making progress in project formulation, budget execution, and the implementation of strategies aligned with the government plan.

«We are beginning the political oversight debates to monitor the programs we helped build, and it is an opportunity to review how this Governor’s Office has progressed in investment throughout the department,» added Pablo Giordanelli, president of the Departmental Assembly.

This new legislative term represents not only a democratic exercise, but also an opportunity to continue aligning efforts between the departmental government and the Assembly in the face of the challenges of regional development. The coordination between both branches will be key to advancing common goals and translating plans into tangible benefits for citizens.
