TRUMP ANUNCIA NEGOCIACIONES INMEDIATAS ENTRE RUSIA Y UCRANIA TRAS LLAMADA CON PUTIN.

El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, aseguró que Rusia y Ucrania iniciarán “inmediatamente” negociaciones hacia un alto el fuego, luego de una llamada telefónica con su homólogo ruso, Vladimir Putin. El anuncio fue hecho a través de la red Truth Social, donde Trump destacó que el “tono y espíritu de la conversación fueron excelentes”.

Según el mandatario republicano, la iniciativa fue propuesta directamente por Putin, quien expresó la disposición de Moscú para trabajar en un memorando de paz que defina los principios del arreglo y un posible calendario para poner fin al conflicto, iniciado hace más de tres años.

“Hemos acordado con el presidente de Estados Unidos que Rusia propondrá y está dispuesta a colaborar con la parte ucraniana en la elaboración de un memorando sobre un posible futuro acuerdo de paz”, declaró Putin desde Sochi, en el mar Negro.

Putin también agradeció a Trump por apoyar la reanudación de conversaciones directas con Kiev y afirmó que los esfuerzos para terminar con la guerra están «en el camino correcto». Trump, por su parte, remarcó en la red X que “las condiciones de esto se negociarán entre ambos, como solo puede ser, porque ellos conocen detalles de una negociación que nadie más conocería”.

La respuesta de Ucrania fue cautelosa. El gobierno de Volodímir Zelenski afirmó que espera la propuesta rusa para evaluarla, mientras persisten dudas sobre la verdadera voluntad del Kremlin de cesar las hostilidades.

Trump indicó que ya informó sobre el resultado de su conversación con Putin a varios líderes internacionales, incluyendo a Zelenski, a la presidenta de la Comisión Europea, Ursula von der Leyen; al presidente francés, Emmanuel Macron; a la primera ministra italiana, Giorgia Meloni; al canciller alemán, Friedrich Merz; y al presidente de Finlandia, Alexander Stubb.

Además de la posible tregua, Trump reveló que también discutió con Putin la posibilidad de futuras negociaciones comerciales entre Estados Unidos y Rusia. “Rusia quiere realizar comercio a gran escala con Estados Unidos cuando termine este catastrófico ‘baño de sangre’, y estoy de acuerdo. Existe una enorme oportunidad para que Rusia cree enormes cantidades de empleo y riqueza”, aseguró.

Horas antes de sus conversaciones telefónicas, Trump había anticipado un “día productivo” en el que dialogaría por separado con los mandatarios de los dos países involucrados en el mayor conflicto armado en Europa desde la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

US President Donald Trump assured that Russia and Ukraine will «immediately» begin negotiations toward a ceasefire, following a phone call with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The announcement was made through the Truth Social network, where Trump highlighted the «tone and spirit of the conversation were excellent.»

According to the Republican president, the initiative was proposed directly by Putin, who expressed Moscow’s willingness to work on a peace memorandum that would define the principles of the settlement and a possible timeline for ending the conflict, which began more than three years ago.

«We have agreed with the President of the United States that Russia will propose and is willing to cooperate with the Ukrainian side in developing a memorandum on a possible future peace agreement,» Putin declared from Sochi, on the Black Sea.

Putin also thanked Trump for supporting the resumption of direct talks with kyiv and affirmed that efforts to end the war are «on the right track.» Trump, for his part, remarked on the X network that «the terms of this will be negotiated between the two of us, as can only be, because they know details of a negotiation that no one else would know.»

Ukraine’s response was cautious. Volodymyr Zelensky’s government stated that it is awaiting the Russian proposal to evaluate it, while doubts persist about the Kremlin’s true willingness to cease hostilities.

Trump indicated that he has already informed several international leaders about the outcome of his conversation with Putin, including Zelensky, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen; French President Emmanuel Macron; Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni; German Chancellor Friedrich Merz; and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

In addition to the possible truce, Trump revealed that he also discussed with Putin the possibility of future trade negotiations between the United States and Russia. «Russia wants to engage in massive trade with the United States when this catastrophic ‘bloodbath’ is over, and I agree. There is a tremendous opportunity for Russia to create enormous amounts of jobs and wealth,» he asserted.

Hours before his phone conversations, Trump had anticipated a «productive day» in which he would hold separate talks with the leaders of the two countries involved in the worst armed conflict in Europe since World War II.
