Risaralda es un gran paisaje ondulado, verde y diverso, entre pueblos ondulados.

Hija de milenarias culturas indígenas, negras y colonos antioqueños, en Risaralda la diversidad geográfica y cultural conforma una rica paleta de valores culturales, y a su vez se traduce en gama de productos turísticos para todos los gustos.

Centro del triangulo conformado por Bogotá, Medellín y Cali (ciudades cada una no más de 300 kilómetros de Pereira), Risaralda es foco el desarrollo comercial e industrial del occidente.

Su variedad de pisos térmicos, paisajes y cultura, la identifican como el fruto del mescal entre lo ancestral y lo moderno.

Desde hace algunas décadas, Risaralda está a la vanguardia ambiental de la nación, es el único departamento de Colombia reconocido a nivel internacional como “Bosque modelo”, título acorado por la Red Iberoamericana de Bosques Modelos, grcias al excelente manejo comunitario de las áreas declaradas como reserva.

A través de los 14 municipios, partiendo de la ciudad Capital Pereira, es posible realizar diversos recorridos que incluyen circuitos por las culturas indígenas, por los cultivos de caña aledaños a los ríos Risaralda y Mapa, por la cultura y los pueblos cafeteros como Marsella o Santuario, por las altas montañas nevadas, por sus parques temáticos por las aguas termales, entre muchos otros que enriquecen el Paisaje Cultural cafetero.

Risaralda is a vast, green, and diverse rolling landscape, nestled among rolling villages.

The daughter of ancient Indigenous and Black cultures, and Antioquian settlers, Risaralda’s geographic and cultural diversity forms a rich palette of cultural values, which in turn translates into a range of tourist products for all tastes.

At the center of the triangle formed by Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali (each city no more than 300 kilometers from Pereira), Risaralda is a focal point for commercial and industrial development in the west.

Its varied thermal zones, landscapes, and culture identify it as the fruit of the mescal, a blend of the ancient and the modern.

For several decades, Risaralda has been at the forefront of environmental issues in the nation. It is the only department in Colombia recognized internationally as a «Model Forest,» a title granted by the Ibero-American Network of Model Forests, thanks to the excellent community management of the areas declared as reserves. Through its 14 municipalities, starting from the capital city of Pereira, it is possible to take various tours that include circuits through indigenous cultures, through the sugarcane plantations adjacent to the Risaralda and Mapa rivers, through the coffee-growing culture and towns such as Marsella or Santuario, through the high snow-capped mountains, through its theme parks, and through its hot springs, among many others that enrich the coffee-growing cultural landscape.
