Los representantes de ambas naciones evaluaron las rutas de atención y los protocolos para prevenir, atender, investigar y judicializar la trata de personas en los territorios.

Se socializó la campaña ‘De qué trata la trata’, en el Puente Internacional Rumichaca, con el fin de informar y prevenir a la ciudadanía sobre este delito.

Con el propósito de compartir experiencias y conocimientos técnicos para fortalecer la lucha contra la trata de personas, representantes de los gobiernos de Colombia y Ecuador se reunieron en Ipiales (Nariño) para trabajar en la implementación de la Hoja de Ruta 2022-2023.

“Las autoridades de ambas naciones están trabajando arduamente para fortalecer las rutas de atención y los protocolos para prevenir, atender, investigar y judicializar el delito de trata de personas”, dijo la subdirectora de Gobierno, Gestión Territorial y Lucha contra la Trata, Sonia Bernal.

En las sesiones se abordaron rutas de atención para las víctimas, repatriación, normativas y protocolos para brindar una atención efectiva.

Con casos puntuales de trata de personas, se plantearon los retos y desafíos, evaluando rutas de acción conjuntas entre los equipos investigativos de ambos países.

“Cuando se rescata una víctima, todas las instituciones que brindan asistencia y protección son claves. Tener una hoja de ruta binacional clara es fundamental para dar respuesta oportuna y eficaz a cada persona”, señaló el director contra la trata de personas del Ministerio del Interior de Ecuador, Tomás Guayasamín.

Investigación y judicialización efectiva

Mediante el análisis de instrumentos jurídicos nacionales e internacionales se evaluaron las posibilidades de hacer procesos más efectivos frente a la trata de personas y desmantelar estructuras criminales dedicadas a este delito.

Este encuentro binacional refleja el compromiso de las dos naciones en la lucha contra la trata de personas y sienta las bases para acciones coordinadas que impacten positivamente en la región.

With the purpose of sharing experiences and technical knowledge to strengthen the fight against human trafficking, representatives of the governments of Colombia and Ecuador met in Ipiales (Nariño) to work on the implementation of the 2022-2023 Roadmap.

“The authorities of both nations are working hard to strengthen care routes and protocols to prevent, treat, investigate and prosecute the crime of human trafficking,” said the deputy director of Government, Territorial Management and Fight against Trafficking, Sonia Bernal. .

The sessions addressed care routes for victims, repatriation, regulations and protocols to provide effective care.

With specific cases of human trafficking, challenges were raised, evaluating joint action routes between the investigative teams of both countries.

“When a victim is rescued, all the institutions that provide assistance and protection are key. Having a clear binational roadmap is essential to provide a timely and effective response to each person,” said the director against human trafficking of the Ministry of the Interior of Ecuador, Tomás Guayasamín.

Effective investigation and prosecution

Through the analysis of national and international legal instruments, the possibilities of making more effective processes against human trafficking and dismantling criminal structures dedicated to this crime were evaluated.
