MURIÓ RODRIGO OROZCO

El periodista y odontólogo pereirano Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez, murió a las 9.40 p.m. sábado 18 de noviembre 2023, en la Clínica Los Rosales de Pereira (carrera 9 No. 25-25). Su Velación se cumplió en la Casa de la Paz (calle 21 No. 6-42). Las exequias, 10 a.m. miércoles 22 noviembre/2023 en el Templo Claret (Carrera 7 No. 24-50 Lago Rafael Uribe Uribe). A las once y treinta de la mañana, inhumación en Prados de Paz –situado contiguamente al Aeropuerto Matecaña de Pereira-.

Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez nació a las 9.40 a.m. del viernes 15 de noviembre 1929 en Pereira (cumplió su ciclo terreno a los 94 años tres días de edad). Desde 1959 ejerció el periodismo, caracterizándose por sus fuertes críticas, arriesgando valientemente su vida, con sus medios propios: Alianza de Risaralda, El Financiero y El Pereirano. Fundó varias Asociaciones de Periodistas; entre ellas, LA PAR (Periodistas Asociados de Risaralda) en la cual hicieron sus pinitos periodísticos Álvaro Rodríguez Hernández y Johnson Eduardo Ortiz Parra. Se destacó como diputado de la Asamblea de Risaralda en 1971 al presidir exitosamente el Plan Vial departamental, en comisión acompañado por los diputados: Pascual López López, Rodrigo Orozco Gutiérrez, Fabio Zuluaga Gaviria, Nepomuceno Morales Franco y Manuel Posada Ángel. Escribió dos libros: EL GUERRERO y SALUD ORAL. En Estados Unidos publicó Guía Turística de New York. Fue propietario de La Clínica Médico-Odontológica Colombia en New York. Al regresar a su natal Pereira, creó la IPS Medicina Alpha, ubicada en la calle 19 entre 4 y 5; publicó la Revista Científica Medicina Alpha y, reactivó lánguidamente el periódico EL PEREIRANO.

CINCO MATRIMONIOS Y OCHO HIJOS

Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez acogió festivamente el padecimiento de limerencia, en busca de su cervantina Dulcinea. En su novela viva de amor, se casó cinco veces y tuvo ocho hijos:

De su primer matrimonio con la dama apiana Carmen Tulia Mejía (Falleció el 6 de julio del 2019, en Gendale-Los Ángeles-California), tuvo cuatro hijas: Esperanza, Martha, Gloria Inés y Liliana Rosa Orozco Mejía.

QUE LINDA SECRETARIA.

Fue su amigo cartagüeño Hernán Rojas, director de los Wawancó, el que le enseñó a conquistar mujeres con el tema bailable QUE LINDA SECRETARIA -Tengo una secretaria rica como un bombón/ Y no me da chansita porque soy juguetón… /Cuando abro la oficina es siempre muy puntual / Y cuando dan las siete se va sin saludar…”

Su segundo matrimonio con su Secretaria Gloria, con quien tuvo, dos hijas: Sonia y Ana; con ellas viajó a New York.

El tercer matrimonio con su secretaria Fanny, con quien tuvo una hija: Lina.

El cuarto matrimonio con su secretaria Martha Lucía, con quien tuvo a su hijo Román.

El quinto y último matrimonio civil, oficiado por El Notario Primero de Pereira (José Daniel Trujillo Arcila), a las 3 de la tarde del miércoles 25 de julio del 2012 con la joven Nury Johanna Ruíz quien se desempeñaba como su Secretaria Ejecutiva de su O.N.G. Fundación Vida Nueva Madres Solteras de Colombia; quien, fielmente, lo acompañó hasta el último minuto de su existencia, en su residencia ubicada en el Barrio Los Naranjos, sector Cuba de Pereira.

The journalist and dentist from Pereira, Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Los Rosales Clinic in Pereira (Carrera 9 No. 25-25). His wake was held at the Casa de la Paz (21st Street No. 6-42). The funeral, 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Claret Temple (Carrera 7 No. 24-50 Lago Rafael Uribe Uribe). At eleven thirty in the morning, burial in Prados de Paz – located adjacent to the Matecaña Airport in Pereira.

Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez was born at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 1929 in Pereira (he completed his earth cycle at the age of 94, three days old). Since 1959 he practiced journalism, characterized by strong criticism of him, bravely risking his life, with his own media: Alianza de Risaralda, El Financiero and El Pereirano. He founded several Journalists Associations; among them, LA PAR (Associated Journalists of Risaralda) in which Álvaro Rodríguez Hernández and Johnson Eduardo Ortiz Parra made their journalistic first steps. He stood out as a deputy of the Risaralda Assembly in 1971 by successfully presiding over the departmental Road Plan, in commission accompanied by the deputies: Pascual López López, Rodrigo Orozco Gutiérrez, Fabio Zuluaga Gaviria, Nepomuceno Morales Franco and Manuel Posada Ángel. He wrote two books: THE WARRIOR and ORAL HEALTH. In the United States he published a New York Tourist Guide. He was the owner of La Clínica Médico-Odontológica Colombia in New York. Upon returning to his native Pereira, he created the IPS Medicina Alpha, located on 19th Street between 4 and 5; He published the Scientific Magazine Medicina Alpha and languidly reactivated the newspaper EL PEREIRANO.

FIVE MARRIAGES AND EIGHT CHILDREN

Rodrigo Arnoldo Orozco Gutiérrez festively welcomed the suffering of limerence, in search of his Cervantes Dulcinea. In his living love novel, he was married five times and had eight children:

His fourth marriage to his secretary Martha Lucía, with whom he had his son Román.

The fifth and last civil marriage, officiated by The First Notary of Pereira (José Daniel Trujillo Arcila), at 3 in the afternoon on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with the young Nury Johanna Ruíz who served as his Executive Secretary of his N.G.O. New Life Foundation for Single Mothers of Colombia; who, faithfully, accompanied him until the last minute of his existence, in his residence located in the Los Naranjos neighborhood, Cuba sector of Pereira.
