Ejército Nacional, en articulación con la Policía Nacional, logra la captura de siete personas en Pereira, Risaralda

El Batallón de Artillería de Campaña N.° 8 San Mateo, en coordinación con la Policía Metropolitana de Pereira, asestó un importante golpe a la estructura delincuencial Los Rebeldes, en la capital del departamento de Risaralda.

En el marco del Plan de Campaña Ayacucho Plus, y con el apoyo de las nuevas tropas del Batallón de Fuerzas Especiales Urbanas N.° 9 (BAFUR), bajo control táctico del Ejército Nacional, se adelantó una operación en el barrio El Rosal, donde se logró la captura de siete individuos, entre ellos el presunto cabecilla de esta facción, conocido con el alias de Kevin.

La operación fue resultado de cinco meses de investigaciones conjuntas entre el componente de inteligencia del Batallón de Artillería de Campaña N.° 8 y la Seccional de Inteligencia Policial (Sipol) de la Policía Nacional. Gracias a este trabajo articulado, un juez de la República emitió las órdenes de captura correspondientes, las cuales fueron ejecutadas por soldados del Bafur, como apoyo a las autoridades judiciales.

De acuerdo con el material probatorio recolectado, alias Kevin sería el encargado de coordinar y dirigir a los demás integrantes del grupo en la distribución y comercialización de estupefacientes en el barrio El Rosal y sectores aledaños, luego de que se separaran del GDO Cordillera que tiene presencia en la ciudad.

Los capturados fueron puestos a disposición de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, para iniciar el proceso judicial correspondiente por los delitos de concierto para delinquir, tráfico de estupefacientes y hurto calificado.

El Ejército Nacional, a través del Batallón San Mateo, reafirma su compromiso con la protección de la población civil y continuará adelantando operaciones militares en zonas rurales y urbanas del departamento de Risaralda, en coordinación con las autoridades civiles y policiales.

As part of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, and with the support of the new troops of the 9th Urban Special Forces Battalion (BAFUR), under the tactical control of the National Army, an operation was carried out in the El Rosal neighborhood, resulting in the capture of seven individuals, including the alleged leader of this faction, known by the alias Kevin.

The operation was the result of five months of joint investigations between the intelligence component of the 8th Field Artillery Battalion and the Police Intelligence Section (Sipol) of the National Police. Thanks to this collaborative effort, a judge issued the corresponding arrest warrants, which were executed by soldiers from the Bafur (Bafur) group, in support of judicial authorities.

According to the evidence collected, alias Kevin was allegedly responsible for coordinating and directing the other members of the group in the distribution and sale of narcotics in the El Rosal neighborhood and surrounding areas, after they separated from the Cordillera Command (GDO Cordillera), which has a presence in the city.

The captured individuals were handed over to the Attorney General’s Office to initiate the corresponding judicial proceedings for the crimes of conspiracy to commit a crime, drug trafficking, and aggravated theft.

The National Army, through the San Mateo Battalion, reaffirms its commitment to protecting the civilian population and will continue to carry out military operations in rural and urban areas of the Risaralda department, in coordination with civilian and police authorities.
