Tropas del Ejército Nacional destruyeron explosivos abandonados en el Guaviare y protegen a la población civil.

La oportuna intervención evitó riesgos para las comunidades y fortaleció la seguridad en la región.

En desarrollo de operaciones militares, tropas del Batallón de Infantería de Selva N.° 24, orgánico de la Vigésima Segunda Brigada, lograron la ubicación y destrucción controlada de tres explosivos abandonados en la vereda Santa Helena, municipio de El Retorno, departamento del Guaviare.

La operación fue posible mediante labores de registro de área, que permitieron al equipo de Explosivos y Demoliciones, EOD, identificar estos artefactos tipo cilindro, los cuales al parecer pertenecerían al grupo armado organizado residual Estructura Primera Armando Ríos, del Bloque Amazonas.

Gracias a la intervención oportuna del personal especializado se realizó la destrucción controlada de los explosivos, neutralizando de manera efectiva el riesgo que representaban para la población civil, las tropas y quienes transitan por este sector.

El Ejército Nacional, a través de la Cuarta División, continuará desarrollando operaciones militares orientadas a neutralizar amenazas, proteger la vida de la población civil y fortalecer la seguridad en el departamento del Guaviare.

National Army troops destroyed abandoned explosives in Guaviare and protected the civilian population.
The timely intervention prevented risks to communities and strengthened security in the region.

During military operations, troops from the 24th Jungle Infantry Battalion, part of the 22nd Brigade, located and carried out the controlled destruction of three abandoned explosive devices in the village of Santa Helena, municipality of El Retorno, department of Guaviare.

The operation was made possible through area reconnaissance, which allowed the Explosives and Demolitions (EOD) team to identify these cylinder-shaped devices, which apparently belonged to the residual organized armed group Armando Ríos First Structure, of the Amazonas Bloc.

Thanks to the timely intervention of specialized personnel, the controlled destruction of the explosives was carried out, effectively neutralizing the risk they posed to the civilian population, troops, and those traveling through this area.

The National Army, through its Fourth Division, will continue conducting military operations aimed at neutralizing threats, protecting the lives of the civilian population, and strengthening security in the department of Guaviare.
