PEREIRA.-

The Attorney General of the Nation is investigating the construction of the first phase of Los Colibríes Avenue in Pereira, which was initially budgeted at 32,000 million pesos but has cost more than 52,000 million without being completed.

The director of the Risaralda Prosecutor’s Office, César Augusto Bolaños Saldarriaga, has announced the start of a preliminary investigation into work contract number 4812 of 2021 related to the construction of this avenue that connects Pereira with Cerritos.

CERRITOS RISARALDA.-

For the last five days, users of the Viva Cerritos Association have been having an interruption in the supply of drinking water.

This situation has generated concern due to the importance of this vital resource

.

The executive director of the Association, Juan Carlos Olarte, has addressed the situation by explaining the problems and damages that have occurred in the area in the past.

Everything indicates that the service has not been restored since Saturday due to a possible water leak.

BOGOTA.-

According to reports provided by the stock exchange, the US dollar has registered a notable decrease in its value against the Colombian peso, closing the day at an average price of 3.775. This figure represents a significant drop of 37 pesos compared to the Representative Market Rate TRM reflects the lowest volatility in 22 months.

This change in the representative rate of the TEM Market reflects the volatility of the currency market in the country, impacted by various economic, internal and external factors.

The current decline points to a depreciation of the peso against the dollar, which has significant implications for trade and national finances.

Unemployment in Pereira, above the national average.

It is difficult to get a job in Pereira and its metropolitan area. According to the most recent report published by DANE on the labor market, the unemployment situation in Pereira has been revealed, which has positioned itself among the seven Colombian cities with the indices highest of that phenomenon.

This was observed in the increase in rates in the city and its metropolitan area of 2.5%.

Job losses have been reflected mainly in the manufacturing industry, public administration, artistic and research activity.

NEWS FROM THE TELECAFÉ OFFICE.

The Attorney General’s Office formulated a statement of charges against the former manager in charge of Telecafé in 2023, Martin Fernando Montoya García, as well as the then secretary of the Int, Jun Manuel Reyes Álvarez, the director of the National Prior Consultation Authority, Álvaro Echeverry Londono.

This action by the Public Ministry led to the signing of an inter-administrative agreement that exceeded $61.9 billion pesos.

The PGN determined that Telecafé did not have the technical and physical suitability and capacity to provide the logistical operation services for the events, meetings and activities required by the Ministry and contracts directly.

Es difícil conseguir empleo en Pereira y su área metropolitana, según el más reciente informe publicado por el DANE cerca del mercado laboral, se ha puesto de manifiesto la situación del desempleo en Pereira, la cual se ha posicionado entre las siete urbes colombianas con los índices más altos de ese fenómeno.

Esto se observó en el amento de las tasa en la ciudad y su área metropolitana del 2,5%.

Las pérdidas de empleo se han reflejando principalmente en la industria manufacturera, la administración pública, la actividad artística  y de investigación.

Además el transporte y la actividad financiera también han experimentado una disminución  en el empleo, con mil puestos menos en esta última actividad.

NOTICIAS DESDE LA OFICINA DE TELECAFÉ.

La Procuraduría General de la Nación  formuló pliego de cargos contra el exgerente encargado de Telecafé en el 2023, Martin Fernando Montoya García, así como al entonces secretario del Int, Jun Manuel Reyes Álvarez, al director de la Autoridad Nacional de Consulta previa, Álvaro Echeverry Londoño.

Esta acción delo Ministerio Público e de a la suscripción de un covenio interadministrativo que superó los $61.900 millones de pesos.

La PGN determinó que Telecafé no tenía  al idoneidad y capacidad técnica y física para prestar los servicios  de operación logística de los eventos , encuentros y actividades requeridos por el Ministerio y contratos de manera directa.
