Soldados de la Cuarta Brigada continúan con la ofensiva en Briceño.

En lo corrido del 2025, los soldados han localizado y destruido 115 artefactos explosivos en el área de responsabilidad de la Cuarta Brigada.

Soldados del Batallón de Artillería de Campaña N.º 4, de la Cuarta Brigada, que se encuentran custodiando la parte rural del municipio de Briceño, Antioquia, llegaron hasta la vereda La Vélez, donde se logró la visualización de una bandera y una valla alusiva al Bloque Magdalena Medio, del GAO-r Estructura 36.

De manera inmediata, se hizo la verificación del sector con el personal experto en explosivos para corroborar que no hubiera artefactos sobre los elementos instalados. Una vez verificados, se procedió a su desinstalación y destrucción.   

De igual manera, horas más tarde, otra unidad que se encuentran custodiando la zona rural del municipio de Briceño llegó hasta el sector conocido como la Ye de La Virgen, y al realizar la verificación del lugar, que es muy transitado por los pobladores, gracias a la experticia del guía canino con su perro antiexplosivos, detectó a la orilla de la carretera un artefacto explosivo.

De manera inmediata, se activaron los protocolos de seguridad y se procedió a la destrucción controlada por parte del grupo de Explosivos y Demoliciones (EXDE) de esa unidad militar, garantizando la libre movilidad de las personas y trasportadores que pasan por este sector. 

El Ejército Nacional continuará desarrollando operaciones militares, con el fin de neutralizar las amenazas que atentan contra la seguridad y tranquilidad de los antioqueños.

Soldiers of the Fourth Brigade continue the offensive in Briceño
So far in 2025, soldiers have located and destroyed 115 explosive devices in the Fourth Brigade’s area of ​​responsibility.

Soldiers from the 4th Field Artillery Battalion of the Fourth Brigade, who are guarding the rural area of ​​the municipality of Briceño, Antioquia, reached the village of La Vélez, where they spotted a flag and a banner alluding to the Magdalena Medio Bloc, of the GAO-r Structure 36.

Immediately, the area was inspected by explosives experts to verify that there were no devices on top of the installed elements. Once verified, they proceeded to remove and destroy them.

Similarly, hours later, another unit patrolling the rural area of ​​the municipality of Briceño arrived at the sector known as La Ye de La Virgen. During a search of the area, which is heavily trafficked by residents, the canine handler, thanks to the expertise of his explosives detection dog, located an explosive device on the side of the road.

Security protocols were immediately activated, and the Explosives and Demolitions (EXDE) group of that military unit carried out a controlled detonation, ensuring the free movement of people and transporters passing through the area.

The National Army will continue to conduct military operations to neutralize threats against the safety and security of the people of Antioquia.
