Contundente golpe del Ejército Nacional al narcotráfico: se debilitan las finanzas de los GAO-r en el departamento de Putumayo.

En el marco del Plan de Campaña Conjunto Ayacucho Plus, y mediante el desarrollo de operaciones militares conjuntas, coordinadas e interagenciales, tropas de la Vigésima Séptima Brigada del Ejército Nacional, adscrita a la Sexta División, en coordinación con la Seccional de Investigación Criminal (Sijín) de la Policía Nacional y con apoyo de la inteligencia militar de la Fuerza Naval de la Amazonía, lograron un resultado de alto impacto que afecta significativamente las economías ilícitas en el departamento de Putumayo, con una afectación superior a los 2800 millones de pesos.

La operación se llevó a cabo en el sector conocido como Muelle Esmeralda, vereda Ancura, municipio de Puerto Asís, Putumayo. Tras labores de inteligencia y seguimiento detallado, se realizó la inspección de una embarcación fluvial, en cuyo interior fue hallado un depósito ilegal que contenía 895 kilogramos de marihuana, equivalentes a cerca de 895.000 dosis listas para ser distribuidas en mercados ilegales nacionales e internacionales.

Durante el procedimiento fue capturado en flagrancia Ronald Vélez Agudelo, presunto integrante del grupo armado organizado residual (GAO-r) Comandos de Frontera, estructura criminal dedicada al tráfico de estupefacientes, al control armado de corredores estratégicos y a la financiación ilícita mediante la denominada Bolsa Ecuatorial.

El material incautado, avaluado en aproximadamente 2800 millones de pesos, representa un golpe contundente a las finanzas de esta organización criminal, reduciendo su capacidad para ejecutar acciones violentas, reclutar menores y fortalecer su dominio ilegal sobre el territorio. Este resultado, además, impide que miles de dosis de marihuana lleguen a centros urbanos, donde alimentan dinámicas de violencia, criminalidad e inseguridad que afectan directamente a la población civil.

Con acciones como esta, la Vigésima Séptima Brigada de la Sexta División del Ejército Nacional, con el respaldo de la Fuerza Naval de la Amazonía, ratifica su compromiso indeclinable en la lucha contra el narcotráfico, las economías ilícitas y los grupos armados organizados que atentan contra la seguridad y la tranquilidad de los putumayenses y de toda la región amazónica.

La articulación entre las Fuerzas Militares, la Policía Nacional y las entidades judiciales demuestra la efectividad del trabajo interinstitucional para neutralizar las fuentes de financiamiento criminal, avanzar en la consolidación del territorio y generar condiciones de paz, seguridad y desarrollo sostenible en el sur del país.

El Ejército Nacional invita a la ciudadanía a mantener la confianza en el accionar legítimo de su Fuerza Pública y a denunciar oportunamente cualquier actividad sospechosa que ponga en riesgo la seguridad y tranquilidad de las comunidades, a través de las líneas gratuitas 147 y 167. La información de la población es fundamental para continuar cerrando espacios a la criminalidad y evitar que las economías ilícitas sigan prolongando la violencia en el Putumayo y en la Amazonía colombiana.

The operation took place in the area known as Muelle Esmeralda, in the Ancura district of the municipality of Puerto Asís, Putumayo. Following intelligence work and detailed surveillance, a riverboat was inspected, inside which an illegal warehouse containing 895 kilograms of marijuana was found, equivalent to approximately 895,000 doses ready for distribution in national and international illegal markets.

During the operation, Ronald Vélez Agudelo, an alleged member of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Comandos de Frontera, a criminal organization dedicated to drug trafficking, armed control of strategic corridors, and illicit financing through the so-called Equatorial Stock Exchange, was captured in flagrante delicto.

The seized material, valued at approximately 2.8 billion pesos, represents a significant blow to the finances of this criminal organization, reducing its capacity to carry out violent acts, recruit minors, and strengthen its illegal control over the territory. This result also prevents thousands of doses of marijuana from reaching urban centers, where they fuel dynamics of violence, crime, and insecurity that directly affect the civilian population.

With actions like this, the Twenty-Seventh Brigade of the Sixth Division of the National Army, with the support of the Amazon Naval Force, reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the fight against drug trafficking, illicit economies, and organized armed groups that threaten the security and peace of the people of Putumayo and the entire Amazon region.

The coordination between the Armed Forces, the National Police, and judicial entities demonstrates the effectiveness of inter-institutional work in neutralizing sources of criminal financing, advancing territorial consolidation, and generating conditions for peace, security, and sustainable development in the south of the country.

The National Army urges citizens to maintain confidence in the legitimate actions of their Public Forces and to promptly report any suspicious activity that jeopardizes the safety and tranquility of communities through the toll-free numbers 147 and 167. Public information is essential to continue closing spaces for criminal activity and preventing illicit economies from prolonging violence in Putumayo and the Colombian Amazon.
