En el marco de la IV Cumbre CELAC-UE, la Fuerza Pública ha desplegado un Dispositivo General de Seguridad Integral, cuyo único propósito es garantizar un entorno seguro, estable y libre de amenazas durante el desarrollo del evento.

Este dispositivo, articulado entre las Fuerzas Militares y la Policía Nacional, ha sido diseñado para responder a la magnitud de la cumbre, así como a las actividades paralelas con presencia del presidente de la República y los eventos con grandes concentraciones de público, lo que implica un esfuerzo superior y una coordinación permanente con las autoridades civiles.

En cumplimiento de la misión institucional, la Fuerza Pública ha establecido un esquema de seguridad con cobertura aérea, marítima y terrestre; anillos de protección; corredores seguros para movilidad estratégica; vigilancia sobre infraestructura crítica; dispositivos de control en escenarios de alta afluencia; y capacidades especializadas para anticipar y mitigar cualquier riesgo.

Aproximadamente 2.400 hombres de la Fuerza Pública desplegados en la IV Cumbre CELAC-UE en una operación conjunta, coordinada e interagencial con las demás entidades del Estado.

El Ejército Nacional, a través de su Primera División, dispuso unidades de inteligencia, motorizado, equipos antiexplosivos y personal GAULA. Por su parte la Armada de Colombia, con la Fuerza Naval del Caribe alistó unidades de reacción rápida y una plataforma de superficie para apoyar la operación. Además, la Fuerza Aeroespacial con su CACOM 3 con las capacidades de sus aeronaves de ala fija y rotatoria refuerza el dispositivo de seguridad

IV CELAC-EU Summit – Santa Marta
Within the framework of the IV CELAC-EU Summit, the Public Forces have deployed a Comprehensive Security Operation, whose sole purpose is to guarantee a safe, stable, and threat-free environment during the event.

This operation, coordinated between the Military Forces and the National Police, has been designed to respond to the magnitude of the summit, as well as the parallel activities with the presence of the President of the Republic and events with large public gatherings, which implies a greater effort and constant coordination with civil authorities.

In fulfillment of its institutional mission, the Public Forces have established a security scheme with air, sea, and land coverage; protective rings; secure corridors for strategic mobility; surveillance of critical infrastructure; control measures in high-traffic areas; and specialized capabilities to anticipate and mitigate any risk.

Approximately 2,400 members of the Colombian Armed Forces were deployed at the IV CELAC-EU Summit in a joint, coordinated, and interagency operation with other state entities.

The National Army, through its First Division, provided intelligence units, motorized units, explosive ordnance disposal teams, and GAULA (Anti-Kidnapping and Extortion Group) personnel. The Colombian Navy, with its Caribbean Naval Force, prepared rapid reaction units and a surface platform to support the operation. Additionally, the Aerospace Force, with its CACOM 3 (Air Combat Command 3) and its fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft capabilities, reinforced the security deployment.
