Martes 30 de diciembre 2025 – Día Internacional del Cine Indio.
El 30 de diciembre fue el día que los fans decidieron celebrar el Día Internacional del Cine Indio, con el claro objetivo de promocionar y difundir las excelentes obras cinematográficas de diversos géneros que se han desarrollado en este exótico país, lleno de bailes, colores, leyendas y mitos religiosos.
La razón de elegir exactamente el 30 de diciembre, se debe a que uno de los principales objetivos del grupo de cinéfilos encuestados, querían que se tratase de un día que no coincidiera con el cumpleaños de algún actor famoso de la India y que además estuviese cerca de un festivo internacional. En un principio se pensó en el 31 de diciembre, pero al ser un día tan cercano a año nuevo prefirieron adelantarlo y así no chocar con una efeméride ya conocida y respetada por todos como lo es la Nochevieja.
Para la mayoría de las personas que suelen conocer algo del cine hindú, la palabra cine Indio suele ser sinónimo de Bollywood, es cual es un alias con el que se conoce a la industria cinematográfica de Bombay.

The reason for choosing December 30th was that one of the main objectives of the group of film enthusiasts surveyed was to ensure it didn’t coincide with the birthday of any famous Indian actor and that it was also close to an international holiday. Initially, December 31st was considered, but since it is so close to New Year’s Day, they preferred to move it forward to avoid clashing with a well-known and universally respected holiday like New Year’s Eve.
