Marco Antonio Solís Sosa, nació en Ario de Rosales-Michoacán el 29 de diciembre de 1959. Músico, cantautor, compositor, productor musical y empresario mexicano. Inició su carrera artística en 1973 como cofundador, junto a su primo Joel Solís, del grupo Los Bukis, en el que se desempeñó como vocalista, músico, productor y principal autor de sus canciones. En sus primeros años en la agrupación tocó los teclados y posteriormente los timbales y la guitarra. Durante casi dos décadas, Los Bukis se consolidaron como una de las bandas de música grupera más influyentes de México y América Latina.
En 2022, fue elegido y reconocido por los Premios Grammy Latinos como «La Persona del Año por la Academia», galardón que lo entregó el productor musical cubano Emilio Estefan, de manera muy especial. Dos años después, recibió otro premio, el reconocimiento «Gran Maestro», otorgado por la SACM, en su natal México. Entre 2023 y 2024 realizó su gira de conciertos por toda Latinoamérica bajo el nombre de El Buki, la Gira Mundial, que más tarde, sería renombrada como Eternamente Agradecido, celebrando sus 45 años de carrera musical; además de realizar un documental basado en su carrera para Amazon Prime Video, con el nombre de Marco Antonio Solís, el «Buki».
Una de las canciones que más me gustan de Marco Antonio Solís, es: “Mi Eterno Amor Secreto” – Voy a hacer de cuenta que no exististe / Tú, de mí, olvida que un día me viste / Ya lo ves, los dos nos equivocamos / Y es mejor que otros caminos sigamos / Y que esta despedida sea por el bien de todos / Inventaré algún modo para vivir sin ti / Te juro que nadie más / Te amará como yo / Mas, hoy, por ti, mi pecho arde / Porque me duele decirte que / A ti he llegado tarde…”

Marco Antonio Solís Sosa was born in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, on December 29, 1959. He is a Mexican musician, singer-songwriter, composer, music producer, and businessman. He began his artistic career in 1973 as a co-founder, along with his cousin Joel Solís, of the group Los Bukis, where he served as lead vocalist, musician, producer, and principal songwriter. In his early years with the group, he played keyboards and later timbales and guitar. For nearly two decades, Los Bukis established themselves as one of the most influential regional Mexican music bands in Mexico and Latin America.

In 2022, he was chosen and recognized by the Latin Grammy Awards as «Person of the Year by the Academy,» an award presented by Cuban music producer Emilio Estefan in a very special way. Two years later, he received another award, the «Grand Master» recognition, granted by SACM in his native Mexico. Between 2023 and 2024, he toured Latin America under the name El Buki, la Gira Mundial (The World Tour), which was later renamed Eternamente Agradecido (Eternally Grateful), celebrating his 45-year musical career. He also produced a documentary about his career for Amazon Prime Video, titled Marco Antonio Solís, El Buki.
