Destruido laboratorio de clorhidrato de cocaína que producía media tonelada de estupefaciente al mes

La estructura generaba ganancias de casi 5 millones de dólares para favorecer las finanzas del GAO Clan del Golfo.

En las últimas horas, tropas del Gaula Militar Santander, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional, lograron la ubicación y destrucción de un laboratorio para el procesamiento de clorhidrato de cocaína en la vereda Pénjamo, jurisdicción del municipio de Sabana de Torres, Santander, que al parecer estaría al servicio de la subestructura Edgar Madrid Benjumea del grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo.

La estructura tendría una producción mensual de media tonelada de clorhidrato de cocaína, que representa ganancias criminales de 5 millones de dólares aproximadamente. Estos dineros estaban destinados a fortalecer el brazo financiero de esta organización armada ilegal.

En el lugar, conformado por tres estructuras, se hallaron un kilogramo de clorhidrato de cocaína, 450 galones de ácido clorhídrico, 1100 galones de insumos líquidos, 1550 kg de insumos sólidos, 14 tanques industriales de diferente capacidad, un marciano, un destilador, un gusano con 10 módulos, una prensa metálica, una empacadora al vacío industrial, 5 grameras y elementos para la dosificación del estupefaciente.

De acuerdo a labores de inteligencia militar, hace seis meses estaría en funcionamiento este laboratorio en el que miembros de este grupo ilegal procesaban la hoja de coca que traían  desde el sur de Bolívar para distribuir el producto final hacia la región del Catatumbo y el interior del país. 

El departamento de Santander ha estado en la mira de los grupos armados para expandir su accionar delictivo de manera clandestina, pero la confianza de la población y el compromiso aunado de la Fuerza Pública, ha permitido atacar de manera directa las economías ilícitas que financian el terrorismo en el país.

Con acciones como esta, el Ejército Nacional vela por la seguridad del departamento de Santander y gracias a la denuncia oportuna de la comunidad a través de las líneas 147 y 107, los soldados de la Quinta Brigada del Ejército Nacional, continúan neutralizando las intenciones criminales de los grupos armados organizados en la región.

In recent hours, troops from the Santander Military Gaula (Gaula Militar), in coordination with the National Police, managed to locate and destroy a cocaine hydrochloride processing laboratory in the Pénjamo district, in the jurisdiction of the Sabana de Torres municipality, Santander. The laboratory was apparently used by the Edgar Madrid Benjumea substructure of the Clan del Golfo organized armed group.

The structure reportedly produced half a ton of cocaine hydrochloride per month, representing criminal profits of approximately $5 million. This money was intended to strengthen the financial arm of this illegal armed organization.

At the site, comprised of three structures, one kilogram of cocaine hydrochloride, 450 gallons of hydrochloric acid, 1,100 gallons of liquid ingredients, 1,550 kg of solid ingredients, 14 industrial tanks of varying capacities, a Martian, a distiller, a 10-module worm, a metal press, an industrial vacuum packer, five scales, and equipment for dosing the narcotic were found.

According to military intelligence, this laboratory was operating six months ago, where members of this illegal group processed the coca leaves brought in from southern Bolívar to distribute the final product to the Catatumbo region and the interior of the country. The department of Santander has been a target of armed groups seeking to expand their clandestine criminal activities, but the trust of the public and the combined commitment of the Public Force have made it possible to directly attack the illicit economies that finance terrorism in the country.

With actions like this, the National Army ensures the security of the department of Santander, and thanks to timely community reports through lines 147 and 107, the soldiers of the Fifth Brigade of the National Army continue to neutralize the criminal intentions of organized armed groups in the region.
