In order to boost the local economy, Mayor Mauricio Salazar Peláez, through the Secretariat of Economic Development and Competitiveness, has held an important meeting with ProColombia directors.
The main objective of this meeting is to establish joint strategies to attract national and foreign investment that have a significant impact on various economic sectors of the city.
David Giraldo Botero, Director of Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economic Development, indicated at the end of a meeting with the Regional Director of ProColombia, that we have carried out this work day to define all the internationalization issues that will allow us to work with export capacity, in tourism. and productive strengthening for Pereira, emphasizing that this type of meetings are part of the instruction given by Mayor Mauricio Salazar Peláez, to generate agendas of mutual cooperation with public and private institutions, which allow the generation of solid foundations for the companies that choose the city of Pereira, to develop their businesses, generating employment and boosting the economy.
Likewise, it constitutes an opportunity to open markets for locally produced products.
