Illegal piques in Pereira and Dosquebradas are the daily bread, despite the danger that practice entails, both for motorcyclists and the rest of the citizenry.
Last year two people died in Dosquebradas due to illegal piques, they were people who were not participating but who died after being rolled by motorcyclists participating in illegal piques.
For several years residents of Pereira and Dosquebradas have been suffering from this serious problem of the so-called illegal piques.

For a long time, there was no decisive, consistent and organized action by the Pereira Mobility Institute to control traffic on city roads, to sanction those who habitually park in prohibited areas and to keep the so-called cycle routes clear of the permanent invaders and usurpers of that space.
