En el departamento de Córdoba, y en cabeza del señor Ministro de Defensa Nacional, la cúpula militar liderada por el Comandante General de las Fuerzas Militares, general Hugo Alejandro López Barreto, desarrolló una visita estratégica de verificación y coordinación institucional para evaluar en terreno la situación derivada de la actual ola invernal y fortalecer el dispositivo de seguridad en el marco del Plan Democracia.

Durante la jornada, se sostuvieron reuniones con autoridades departamentales y municipales, organismos de socorro y entidades del Estado, con el propósito de articular capacidades para la atención humanitaria de las comunidades afectadas, la protección de la vida y la mitigación de riesgos en los territorios más impactados por las inundaciones.

De manera simultánea, se presentó el despliegue operacional de las Fuerzas Militares en la región, con énfasis en la seguridad del proceso electoral, la protección de la infraestructura crítica, la movilidad de la población y la presencia institucional en zonas priorizadas, brindar condiciones de tranquilidad, orden público y legitimidad democrática.

Las Fuerzas Militares continúan trabajando de manera coordinada con las autoridades civiles, la Policía Nacional y los organismos de gestión del riesgo, reafirmando su compromiso con la defensa y la estabilidad del territorio y la seguridad de la democracia, especialmente en escenarios de emergencia que exigen la acción unificada del Estado.

20 February 2026 07:42 AMEn el marco del Plan de Campaña Operacional Ayacucho Plus 2023-2026, bajo el concepto de la acción unificada, tropas del Comando Contra el Narcotráfico y Amenazas Transnacionales (CONAT) en coordinación con la Policía Nacional, en desarrollo de operaciones militares ofensivas, logró la ubicación y destrucción, en la vereda Bella Vista, de Sabana de Torres, departamento de Santander, un laboratorio para el procesamiento de clorhidrato de cocaína que haría parte de las finanzas ilícitas del grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo, Subestructura Édgar Madrid Benjumea.

El complejo cocalero se encontraba compuesto por cuatro estructuras con capacidad de producción mensual de dos toneladas de estupefaciente. Gracias a las labores de inteligencia militar, se tienen indicios de que los integrantes de este grupo han buscado trascender fronteras, en su intención de comercializar la droga en países de Centroamérica y en los Estados Unidos, tomando como corredores de movilidad las áreas costeras y marítimas del mar Caribe.

 
Con la ubicación de este laboratorio, donde fueron hallaros 1026 kilogramos de clorhidrato de cocaína, avaluados en 151.000 millones de pesos, y la destrucción de la infraestructura, valorada 700 millones de pesos, se continúa atacando las economías ilícitas del Clan del Golfo.

De esta manera, el Ejército Nacional cumple con su misión constitucional en la búsqueda permanente de garantizar el orden interno y soberanía de nuestro país, propendiendo por el bienestar de las comunidades.

This laboratory was allegedly part of the illicit finances of the Clan del Golfo organized armed group, specifically the Édgar Madrid Benjumea substructure.

The cocaine production complex consisted of four structures with a monthly production capacity of two tons of the drug. Thanks to military intelligence, there are indications that members of this group have sought to expand their operations beyond national borders, intending to traffic drugs in Central American countries and the United States, using the coastal and maritime areas of the Caribbean Sea as transit routes.

19 February 2026 02:23 PMDe acuerdo con las primeras verificaciones investigativas, esta aeronave, presuntamente utilizada por estructuras vinculadas al narcotráfico, habría sido incautada por la Policía Nacional en el año 1992, y actualmente registra dos denuncias vigentes por los presuntos delitos de hurto y falsedad marcaria.

Durante la inspección técnica especializada, practicada por peritos aeronáuticos, se determinó que los remaches de la plaqueta de identificación no corresponderían a los originales de fábrica, circunstancia que podría configurar conductas asociadas a la adulteración de identificación aeronáutica y falsedad marcaria, conforme a la normatividad vigente.

La incautación se sustentó principalmente en la presunta irregularidad detectada en la identificación estructural de la aeronave, razón por la cual fue puesta a disposición de la Fiscalía General de la Nación, con el fin de adelantar un estudio técnico detallado que permita establecer su trazabilidad, autenticidad estructural y legalidad en los registros aeronáuticos correspondientes.

Con este resultado operacional se afectan posibles economías ilícitas asociadas a estructuras criminales que delinquen en el centro del país, reafirmando el compromiso del Ejército Nacional y las instituciones articuladas con la legalidad, la lucha contra el crimen organizado y la seguridad de los colombianos.

According to initial investigative findings, this aircraft, allegedly used by drug trafficking organizations, was seized by the National Police in 1992 and currently has two active complaints against it for the alleged crimes of theft and trademark counterfeiting.

During the specialized technical inspection conducted by aeronautical experts, it was determined that the rivets on the identification plate did not correspond to the original factory rivets, a circumstance that could constitute acts related to the falsification of aeronautical identification and trademark counterfeiting, in accordance with current regulations.

The seizure was based primarily on an alleged irregularity detected in the aircraft’s structural identification. For this reason, it was turned over to the Attorney General’s Office for a detailed technical study to establish its traceability, structural authenticity, and legality in the corresponding aeronautical records.

This operational result impacts potential illicit economies associated with criminal organizations operating in the central region of the country, reaffirming the commitment of the National Army and its partner institutions to upholding the law, combating organized crime, and ensuring the safety of Colombians.

19 February 2026 02:12 PMEn desarrollo de tareas de reconocimiento de ruta sobre el eje vial Santa Cecilia-Puente Guarato, tropas del Grupo Liviano de Caballería N.° 6 Meteoro, adscritos operacionalmente al Batallón de Artillería de Campaña N.° 8 San Mateo, fueron objeto de la activación de un artefacto explosivo improvisado (AEI), acción que sería una retaliación por la reciente captura de un integrante del grupo armado organizado (GAO) ELN, Frente Manuel Hernández El Boche. 

Se trata de alias el Indio, quien tenía una orden de captura para cumplir condena por hechos ocurridos en el año 2020, cuando el Ejército Nacional lo capturó con minas antipersonales, iniciadores eléctricos, un estopín eléctrico y brazaletes y banderas alusivas a esta organización criminal.

Gracias a la oportuna reacción de nuestras tropas y a los protocolos de seguridad, se registraron afectaciones materiales a un camión y una motocicleta.

Tras el hecho, se refuerzó la presencia militar en la zona y se hace un reconocimiento terrestre y aéreo por medio de drones, descartando la presencia de actores criminales; así mismo, hasta el sitio llegó el grupo de Explosivos y Demoliciones EXDE, para verificar la posible presencia de artefactos explosivos improvisados.

Las tropas reiteran que las operaciones continúan para hacer frente a las acciones criminales de los grupos armados organizados y dar con el paradero de alias Anthony y Chilapo,principales cabecillas del ELN en esta zona del país, y neutralizar cualquier intención terrorista que pretenda afectar la tranquilidad de las comunidades en la región.

While conducting route reconnaissance along the Santa Cecilia-Puente Guarato road, troops from the 6th Light Cavalry Group «Meteoro,» operationally attached to the 8th Field Artillery Battalion «San Mateo,» were targeted by the activation of an improvised explosive device (IED). 19 February 2026 02:07 PMEn el marco de las operaciones ofensivas contra los grupos armados organizados, tropas de la Décima Octava Brigada del Ejército Nacional sostuvieron combates en el sector de Flor Amarillo, municipio de Tame, departamento de Arauca, contra integrantes del Frente Domingo Laín Sáenz, comisión Martha Elena Barón, del GAO ELN.

Como resultado de esta operación, fue capturado un sujeto perteneciente a esta estructura criminal, quien fue puesto a disposición de las autoridades competentes para su respectiva judicialización.

Durante la acción militar, las tropas incautaron un arma corta, proveedores y cartuchos, elementos que quedaron bajo custodia de las autoridades judiciales como material probatorio.

Así mismo, en esta operación se logró la destrucción de un dron que era empleado por este grupo armado organizado para labores de inteligencia criminal y posibles ataques contra la Fuerza Pública.

19 February 2026 11:12 AMEl comandante de la Sexta Brigada, coronel Arnold Esneider Pérez Linares, junto con el director de Carabineros y Protección Ambiental, brigadier general Carlos Germán Oviedo, ya se preparan para la implementación de las estrategias ofensivas para atacar la explotación minera ilegal desbordada que se presenta en el municipio de Ataco, de acuerdo a la directriz del ministro de Defensa Nacional. 

De esta manera ya se finiquita lo que será la mesa técnica donde se ejecutará todo el plan de intervención para contrarrestar las economías ilícitas y la afectación ambiental derivada de la explotación de oro a cielo abierto.

En el sector ya se cuenta con el despliegue de tropas para controlar el ingreso y salida de maquinaria amarilla en la zona, además del refuerzo que ya hay en puntos estratégicos para desarrollar esta intervención. Por su parte, la Policía Nacional, en los próximos días, desplegara el personal que entrará a reforzar al equipo de carabineros.

Es de señalarse que existe un detrimento ambiental que ha crecido por la presencia del grupo armado organizado Frente Ismael Ruiz, estructura al servicio de alias Chapolo, encargados de la compra del oro a las personas, en su mayoría procedentes de otros departamentos que vienen realizado la explotación ilegal en los ríos Ata y Saldaña que rodean el municipio de Ataco.

Ante la pregunta: ¿Qué puedo hacer por un amigo camarógrafo y fotógrafo?, la respuesta nos invita a valorar no solo el resultado técnico, sino el esfuerzo humano detrás del lente.

1. EL VALOR DEL RECONOCIMIENTO -El trabajo de estos artistas visuales a menudo ocurre en las sombras; vemos la imagen, pero olvidamos a quien la capturó. Reconocer públicamente su trabajo es el mayor incentivo que podemos ofrecerles. Validar su talento, su paciencia para esperar la luz perfecta y su valentía para estar en el lugar de los hechos es una forma de agradecerles por ser los historiadores visuales de nuestra época.
2. EL IMPERATIVO DE LA ÉTICA Y LA HONESTIDAD -En un mundo saturado de filtros y manipulaciones digitales, el papel del camarógrafo y fotógrafo cobra una relevancia ética superior. Debemos incentivarlos a que sigan cumpliendo con su deber honesta y éticamente.
   LA VERDAD SIN ARTIFICIOS: Capturar la realidad con honestidad es un acto de servicio a la sociedad.
   LA MIRADA HUMANA: Un buen profesional no solo usa una máquina; usa su corazón para decidir qué historias merecen ser contadas, respetando siempre la dignidad de lo que retrata.
