Viernes 20 de febrero 2026 – Día Internacional del Camarógrafo y Fotógrafo.
Cada 20 de febrero se destaca la gran labor de los camarógrafos y fotógrafos en todo el mundo, así como su contribución en la divulgación de información audiovisual.
El 20 de febrero se celebra el Día Internacional del Camarógrafo y Fotógrafo.
A través del lente de la cámara captan imágenes, que transmiten historias, situaciones y vivencias colectivas. Asimismo, se rinde un homenaje a aquellos camarógrafos y fotógrafos vinculados a los medios de comunicación que han sido afectados en el ejercicio de sus profesiones, junto a reporteros y periodistas, en la cobertura de hechos y acontecimientos nacionales e internacionales.
Los camarógrafos y fotógrafos desempeñan un papel esencial en la documentación y difusión de información visual. Sus imágenes y videos no solo informan, sino que también transmiten emociones y contextos que enriquecen nuestra comprensión del mundo.
Además, son fundamentales en el periodismo, ya que sus capturas visuales complementan y enriquecen las narrativas escritas, ofreciendo una perspectiva más completa de los eventos.

Hoy, viernes 20 de febrero de 2026, celebramos el Día Internacional del Camarógrafo y Fotógrafo. Es la fecha en la que rendimos homenaje a quienes tienen la misión de detener el tiempo, capturar la esencia de la realidad y permitirnos ver el mundo a través de sus ojos.
GUARDIANES DE LA MEMORIA: REFLEXIÓN EN EL DÍA DEL CAMARÓGRAFO Y FOTÓGRAFO -Detrás de cada imagen que nos conmueve, de cada noticia que nos informa o de cada recuerdo que atesoramos, hay un profesional que decidió encuadrar la vida. Ante la pregunta: ¿Qué puedo hacer por un amigo camarógrafo y fotógrafo?, la respuesta nos invita a valorar no solo el resultado técnico, sino el esfuerzo humano detrás del lente.

1. EL VALOR DEL RECONOCIMIENTO -El trabajo de estos artistas visuales a menudo ocurre en las sombras; vemos la imagen, pero olvidamos a quien la capturó. Reconocer públicamente su trabajo es el mayor incentivo que podemos ofrecerles. Validar su talento, su paciencia para esperar la luz perfecta y su valentía para estar en el lugar de los hechos es una forma de agradecerles por ser los historiadores visuales de nuestra época.
2. EL IMPERATIVO DE LA ÉTICA Y LA HONESTIDAD -En un mundo saturado de filtros y manipulaciones digitales, el papel del camarógrafo y fotógrafo cobra una relevancia ética superior. Debemos incentivarlos a que sigan cumpliendo con su deber honesta y éticamente.
   LA VERDAD SIN ARTIFICIOS: Capturar la realidad con honestidad es un acto de servicio a la sociedad.
   LA MIRADA HUMANA: Un buen profesional no solo usa una máquina; usa su corazón para decidir qué historias merecen ser contadas, respetando siempre la dignidad de lo que retrata.
   «Una fotografía o una toma de video no es solo luz grabada; es un testimonio de verdad. Quien sostiene la cámara sostiene también la responsabilidad de mostrar el mundo tal como es, sin traicionar la confianza del espectador.»
   CONCLUSIÓN: Hoy, al abrazar a nuestros amigos camarógrafos y fotógrafos, hagámoslo celebrando su capacidad de convertir lo ordinario en extraordinario. Que nuestro reconocimiento sea el motor que los impulse a seguir capturando la vida con la pureza y la integridad que el mundo de hoy tanto necesita.
