No es simple el reto que tiene el Brigadier General WILLIAM ERNESTO GARCES, como nuevo comandante de la Región 3 de la Policía Nacional. El Oficial remplaza en el alto cargo a la general Yurian Jannette Romero Murte, quien estuvo al frente de la Regional durante el último año.

El nuevo comandante recibe una ciudad agobiada por el crimen, por la guerra entre las organizaciones  dedicadas al microtráfico, por la inseguridad en sus calles, por la crueldad y sevicia con que viene actuando la delincuencia y con las cifras más altas de homicidios de los últimos años y los registros de robos y atracos por las nubes.

Una ciudad escondida por la delincuencia, que teme por la vida de sus habitantes cuando caminan por las calles, cuando en la noche salen al cine, cuando van a u sitio público, cuando asisten al estadio a acompañar su equipo amado, cuando van a la ciclovía o cuando concurren al parque a concurren al parque a hacer ejercicio o practicar algún deporte.

Una Pereira y una Dosquebradas que ven todos los días que cada delincuente que captura la Policía luego de cometer un delito o en algún operativo policial, tiene un largo prontuario judicial, no menos ingresos a la cárcel y una larga lista de salidas y puestas en libertad por autoridades judiciales.

Pereira y su entorno vienen pidiendo a gritos una autoridad policial firme, con mano que no cometa excesos pero que no la doblegue ni el dinero sucio que todo o compra, ni las amenazas de la criminalidad organizada, ni la pasividad del Gobierno Nacional, ni la indiferencia del Estado. Ni convivencia ciudadana con el delito.

Pereira no puede seguir ocupando los primeros lugares con los delitos de mayor impacto, ni siendo el campo de batalla de dos o tres organizaciones que luchan por el control del territorio para la fabricación, distribución y comercialización de toda clase de estupefacientes , ni siendo el centro de negocios y el paraíso de los más peligrosos delincuentes del occidente del país y donde nadie los toca.

No es menor, la tarea que tiene y que la ciudad espera del Brigadier General, William Ernesto Garcés, Pereira RECIBE CON LOS BRAZOS ABIERTOS,PERO ESPERA ACCIÓN CONTRA EL DELITO, CONTUNDENCIA CONTRA EL COMERCIO DE ESTUPEFACIENTES, UERRA CONTRA LAS OLLAS Y LAS COCINAS DE LA DROGA Y PRESENCIA Y VIGILANCIA EN TODOS LOS RINCONES LAS 24 HORAS DELK DÍA Y LOS SITE DÍAS DE LA SEMANA.

The challenge facing Brigadier General WILLIAM ERNESTO GARCES as the new commander of Region 3 of the National Police is not simple. He replaces General Yurian Jannette Romero Murte, who led the Regional Police for the past year.

A Pereira and a Dosquebradas that see every day that every criminal captured by the police after committing a crime or in a police operation has a lengthy criminal record, no fewer jail sentences, and a long list of releases and releases by judicial authorities.
