INFLATION RESULTS.

In March 2024, inflation in Pereira, according to DANE, was 6.77% while in Colombi it reached one of its lowest points in recent months with 7.36%.
A significant reduction compared to the maximum peak of 13.34% in March 2023.
Transportation led the annual variations with 11.72%, followed by Education 11.60%, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco 10.81%, Restaurants and hotels 10.62%, accommodation, water, electricity and gas 9.58% and health 7.91 %.
In terms of annual contribution, Accommodation had the greatest weight with 2.88 percentage points (p.p.), followed by transportation (1.53 p.p., Restaurants and hotels 1.12 (p.p.), education 0.5 p.p., food 0 .35 p.p. u Alcoholic beverages 0.31 p.p.
Last year it stood at 13.34%, a figure that had not been seen since 1999.
In March 2024, the largest contributions to the monthly variation in the 12 divisions of the Total CPI were recorded in the following subclasses: urban transport (includes train and metro) with 0.14 percentage points, imputed rental with 9.09 percentage points and fresh fruits with 9.09 percentage points.
Annual behavior of the gas CPI for the city of Pereira, which from March 2023 to March 2024, had an increase of 10.87 percentage points.
