El año pasado hubo varias investigaciones  por presuntos delitos sexuales al parecer cometidos por docentes en la capital de Risaralda.

A esto se suma que Pereira es, una grave problemática que se viene presentando desde hace varios años.

Pero La Perla del Otún no es el único territorio afectado por este flagelo.

Los últimos casos ocurridos en Medellín, ponen de manifiesto la necesidad de intensificar las acciones institucionales para erradicar este mal.

LA Procuradora General de la Nación, Margarita Cabello Blanco, anunció nuevas medidas para la fiscalización y vigilancia y las actuaciones por parte de las autoridades competentes, en la atención y abordaje integral a los casos de violencia y abuso sexual contra menores de edad en instituciones educativas, cometidos presuntamente por los docentes o entre los mismos estudiantes; así como las prácticas contra menores en el país.
