Durante 2023 según datos oficiales de la Agencia Nacional de Seguridad vial, se presentaron n 27.162 accidentes de tránsito en los cuales hubo por lo menos una moto de por medio.

En estos siniestros además,5213 personas  entre motociclistas y parrilleros , perdieron la vida.

De otro lado  de acuerdo con el mismo estudio en estos accidentes además 17.831 más resultaron heridas de alguna consideración  y la causa mayor de su ocurrencia fue la velocidad.

42.3% de los siniestros de tránsito se debieron al incontrolado exceso de velocidad de estos actores viales.   

Lo más dramático de esto es que la tendencia  de esta siniestralidad  en vez de cambiar  o al menos moderarse,  sigue en aumento.

Los datos de personas fallecidas  y heridas en accidentes e tránsito en los dos primeros meses de esta año, son superiores a los registrados  en el año anterior.

Esto sin tener en cuenta las cifras de peatones muertos y heridos n ls vías públicas  producto de un accidente de tránsito.

El 62% de estos hechos los produjo un motociclista y en 8 de cada 10 casos la razón es también el exceso de velocidad del vehículo causante, solamente los otros dos  de debieron a imprudencia de la persona de a pie.

La Policía de Carreteras está pensando más en manifestarle al conductor cuanto le vale la multa de la infracción que cometió y no en prevenirlos para que no cometan tantas infracciones e imprudencias  que a diario realizan en las carreteras del país.

The road accident rate in which a motorcycle is involved

During 2023, according to official data from the National Road Safety Agency, there were 27,162 traffic accidents in which there was at least one motorcycle involved.

In these accidents, 5,213 people, including motorcyclists and grillers, lost their lives.

On the other hand, according to the same study, in these accidents, 17,831 more were seriously injured and the main cause of their occurrence was speed.

42.3% of traffic accidents were due to the uncontrolled excess of speed of these road actors.

The most dramatic thing about this is that the trend of this accident rate, instead of changing or at least moderating, continues to increase.

The data on people killed and injured in accidents and traffic in the first two months of this year are higher than those registered in the previous year.

This is without taking into account the numbers of dead and injured pedestrians on public roads as a result of a traffic accident.

62% of these events were caused by a motorcyclist and in 8 out of 10 cases the reason is also the excess speed of the causing vehicle, only the other two were due to the recklessness of the person on foot.

The Highway Police is thinking more about telling the driver how much the fine for the infraction he committed is worth and not about preventing them from committing so many infractions and recklessness that they commit daily on the country’s roads.
