En desarrollo del Plan de Choque de Seguridad 360, la Policía Nacional ha desmantelado 289 estructuras delincuenciales y ha capturado a 1.349 personas.

Las acciones contra la delincuencia por delitos de extorsión y secuestro en el país, bajó de 32% al 14 % entre agosto y septiembre de este año, comparado con el mismo periodo de 2022.

El Ministro de Defensa, Iván Velásquez, reveló las cifras en la VI Cumbre de Petróleo, Gas y Energía, realizada en Cartagena y confirmó que por estos delitos se han desmantelado 289 organizaciones criminales y se han capturado 1.349 personas.

Las acciones son adelantadas por la Policía Nacional en el marco del Plan de Choque de Seguridad 360, con el apoyo de los nuevos Grupos de Acción Unificada por la Libertad Personal (Gaula) para los departamentos Atlántico y Magdalena Medio.

El ministro resaltó el compromiso del Gobierno del Cambio para garantizar las condiciones de seguridad para el gremio energético y de hidrocarburos en Colombia, incluida en la Política de Defensa y Convivencia Ciudadana, encaminada a afectar los grupos armados ilegales y las riquezas ilícitas.

‘Hemos brindado seguridad personalizada a estaciones de servicio de gasolina con Ejército y Policía. Hemos fortalecido los planes candado que, además, gracias a la articulación con el sector de hidrocarburos y sus propios sistemas de vigilancia, nos han permitido la recuperación de dinero, captura de responsables y rescate de secuestrados’, puntualizó el funcionario.

Anunció también que el Gobierno del Cambio trabaja en la formulación y fortalecimiento del Primer Plan de Protección de la Infraestructura Estratégica Crítica, una estrategia con el cual el Estado podrá hacer un inventario de la infraestructura del sector de hidrocarburos y de esta forma identificar y administrar las vulnerabilidades, riesgos y amenazas a las que están expuestas esas instalaciones.
