Las quejas de la ciudadanía no han recibido respuesta positiva de las autoridades competentes, agobiados por la alta contaminación auditiva, con el ruido que, en la zona urbana (especialmente en el centro) donde se registran hasta 170 decibeles afectando seriamente la salud de sus habitantes. Los Otorrinolaringólogos manifiestan que se les ha triplicado la atención a innumerables pacientes; muchos de ellos, se ven obligados a viajar a otras ciudades para que atiendan sus problemas auditivos.
Las cornetas de los buses, los vehículos sin silenciadores, voceadores de frutas y legumbres; y, los maromeros callejeros (incluyendo menores de edad), se suman a los altos índices de contaminación auditiva, sobrepasando los 80 decibeles permitidos.
¡Por favor! Necesitamos la aplicación de las normas, antes de que nos dejen sordos por la alta contaminación del ruido en Pereira.
