La Personería, en su papel de garante de los derechos humanos, ha reconocido la imperiosa necesidad de establecer una colaboración interinstitucional  para abordar de manera conjunta la reciente problemática  de violencia de género e intrafamiliar que ha afectado a las mujeres de Dosquebradas a lo largo del tiempo.

Manuelita Toro Patiño, personera de Dosquebradas, destacó la importancia de la firma del pacto por los derechos de las mujeres como un compromiso colectivo y un paso significativo hacia la protección y promoción de los derechos fundamentales de las mujeres en la comunidad.

La firma del pacto por el derecho de las mujeres representa un compromiso con la mujer y la comunidad.

Este acto simboliza la unión de fuerzas entre la Personería quien hoy es quien lidera esta firma, así como el concejo , la gestora social y la Policía Metropolitana para trabajar en pro de un municipio aseguro y equitativo expresó la funcionaria.

Las cifras que motivaron la firma del compromiso son alarmantes: en enero 2024, más de 20 mujeres fueron víctimas de feminicidio

 Durante 2023, se reportaron 29.898 casos de violencia interpersonal , 49.247 casos de  violencia intrafamiliar, 11.242 de lesiones en eventos de transport4 y 20.774 casos por presunto delito sexuales según datos del Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses.

 Estas  estadísticas resaltan la urgente de acciones colectivas.

The Ombudsman, in its role as guarantor of human rights, has recognized the urgent need to establish inter-institutional collaboration to jointly address the recent problem of gender and domestic violence that has affected the women of Dosquebradas over time. .
Manuelita Toro Patiño, representative of Dosquebradas, highlighted the importance of signing the pact for women’s rights as a collective commitment and a significant step towards the protection and promotion of the fundamental rights of women in the community.
The signing of the pact for women’s rights represents a commitment to women and the community.
This act symbolizes the union of forces between the Ombudsman who today leads this firm, as well as the council, the social manager and the Metropolitan Police to work towards a safe and equitable municipality, said the official.
The figures that motivated the signing of the commitment are alarming: in January 2024, more than 20 women were victims of feminicide
During 2023, 29,898 cases of interpersonal violence, 49,247 cases of domestic violence, 11,242 of injuries in transportation events4 and 20,774 cases of alleged sexual crimes were reported according to data from the National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
These statistics highlight the urgency of collective action.
