En la Cámara  avanza en un proyecto de ley  para prohibir las corridas de toros a nivel nacional.

La iniciativa recibió respaldo en la Comisión Sexta y está a punto de pasar a su último debate de la plenaria.

Busca prohibir prácticas taurinas como becerradas, corridas, novilladas, rejoneo , tientas y cualquier actividad que utilice animales como parte de un espectáculo.

Al debate se ha sumado la opinión pública con voces defensoras de los derechos de los animales, como también a la libre expresión artística y cultural.

In the House, a bill to ban bullfighting at the national level is advancing.

The initiative received support in the Sixth Commission and is about to move on to its last plenary debate.

It seeks to prohibit bullfighting practices such as bullfights, bullfights, bullfights, rejoneo, tientas and any activity that uses animals as part of a show.

Public opinion has joined the debate with voices defending animal rights, as well as free artistic and cultural expression.

FOR AND AGAINST

Some voices critical of the initiative warn of their concern about the jobs generated by the bullfights, to which the representative representative responded that the project recognizes the need to provide alternatives to this population.

“We will be providing guarantees to those who demonstrate that their income is derived from these activities.

Colombia is one of the only eight countries in which bullfighting is practiced and it is time to change it, said Representative García, speaker of the Green Alliance Party.

Algunas voces críticas a la iniciativa advierten su preocupación  por los empleos que generan las corridas,  a lo que el representante ponente respondió que el proyecto reconoce  la necesidad de brindar alternativas  a esta población.

“Les estaremos brindando garantías a aquellos que demuestren que sus ingresos se derivan de estas actividades. Colombia es uno de los únicos ocho países en los que se practica  la tauromaquia y ya es momento de cambiarla dijo el Representante García ponente del Partido Alianza Verde.
