En un hecho histórico, primeras cadetes femeninas de Infantería de Marina reciben las armas y juran fidelidad a la bandera.

La Armada de Colombia, a través de la Escuela Naval de Cadetes ‘Almirante Padilla’, realizó la ceremonia de Entrega de Armas y Juramento a la Bandera de 142 nuevos Cadetes. Este grupo incluye a un joven de nacionalidad panameña, en el marco de los acuerdos de cooperación entre la República de Colombia y Panamá, y marca un hito histórico con la incorporación, por primera vez, de seis mujeres Cadetes de Infantería de Marina.

El acto fue presidido por el Almirante Juan Ricardo Rozo Obregón, Comandante de la Armada de Colombia, acompañado por el Vicealmirante Rafael Arturo Aranguren Devia, Jefe de Estado Mayor Naval de Personal; Vicealmirante Carlos Hernando Oramas Maldonado, Comandante Fuerza Naval del Caribe, y el Contralmirante Juan Pablo Pinilla Acosta, Director de la Escuela Naval de Cadetes.

Tras esta ceremonia, los jóvenes, pertenecientes al Contingente Naval Regular 181, Infantería de Marina 126 y Profesional Administrativo 61, se integran formalmente al Batallón de Cadetes, donde continuarán su proceso de formación como futuros Oficiales de la institución.

Durante el evento, los Cadetes recibieron sus armas de manos de sus padres y familiares, en un acto cargado de simbolismo que refuerza los lazos entre la familia y la institución. Al asumir este compromiso y jurar ante la bandera, prometieron defender a la patria hasta las últimas consecuencias, así como mantener la lealtad hacia sus superiores, compañeros y subalternos en cualquier circunstancia.

Este momento es posible, luego de culminar el período de adaptación naval militar, una etapa caracterizada por una exigente formación académica, entrenamiento físico riguroso y experiencias orientadas al fortalecimiento de valores, el espíritu de cuerpo y el sentido de pertenencia institucional.

La Armada de Colombia, a través de la Escuela Naval de Cadetes “Almirante Padilla”, continuará la formación integral de estos hombres y mujeres a lo largo de sus cuatro singladuras, con el propósito de consolidarlos como Oficiales íntegros, comprometidos con la defensa de la Nación y la protección de los intereses de los colombianos.

In a historic event, the first female Marine Corps cadets receive their weapons and swear allegiance to the flag.

The Colombian Navy, through the ‘Almirante Padilla’ Naval Cadet School, held the Weapons Presentation and Flag Oath ceremony for 142 new cadets. This group includes a young man of Panamanian nationality, within the framework of cooperation agreements between the Republic of Colombia and Panama, and marks a historic milestone with the incorporation, for the first time, of six female Marine Corps cadets.

The ceremony was presided over by Admiral Juan Ricardo Rozo Obregón, Commander of the Colombian Navy, accompanied by Vice Admiral Rafael Arturo Aranguren Devia, Chief of Naval Personnel Staff; Vice Admiral Carlos Hernando Oramas Maldonado, Commander of the Caribbean Naval Force; and Rear Admiral Juan Pablo Pinilla Acosta, Director of the Naval Cadet School.

Following this ceremony, the young people, belonging to the 181st Regular Naval Contingent, the 126th Marine Infantry Contingent, and the 61st Professional Administrative Contingent, formally joined the Cadet Battalion, where they will continue their training as future officers of the institution.

During the event, the cadets received their weapons from their parents and relatives in a symbolic act that strengthens the bonds between family and institution. By assuming this commitment and swearing allegiance to the flag, they promised to defend the homeland to the very end, as well as to maintain loyalty to their superiors, comrades, and subordinates under any circumstances.

This moment is possible after completing the naval military adaptation period, a stage characterized by demanding academic training, rigorous physical training, and experiences aimed at strengthening values, esprit de corps, and a sense of institutional belonging.

The Colombian Navy, through the «Almirante Padilla» Naval Cadet School, will continue the comprehensive training of these men and women throughout their four sea voyages, with the aim of developing them into well-rounded officers committed to the defense of the nation and the protection of Colombian interests.
