En operaciones militares queda desarticulada estructura extorsiva que obtenía mil millones mensuales en el Ariari.

En una contundente operación militar desarrollada en el sector de Alto de la Bodega, zona rural del municipio de San Juan de Arama, tropas del Gaula Militar Meta, en coordinación con el Gaula Élite de la Policía Nacional, asestaron un golpe decisivo al grupo delincuencial organizado autodenominado Segunda Marquetalia Frente Iván Merchán.

Durante la operación fue neutralizado en combate alias Mogocín, cabecilla principal de esta estructura criminal, quien anteriormente perteneció al Frente 53, de las extintas FARC. Así mismo, fue capturado alias Jimmy Lozada, segundo al mando y cabecilla de finanzas, responsable de firmar y distribuir panfletos intimidatorios con los que extorsionaban a ganaderos, palmicultores y comerciantes en municipios como Puerto Lleras, Puerto Rico y Granada.

Según información de inteligencia, esta estructura ilegal lograba recaudar hasta mil millones de pesos mensuales, mediante cobros extorsivos, afectando gravemente la economía regional y generando temor entre los gremios productivos del Ariari.

En el lugar de los hechos, una vivienda rural utilizada como centro de operaciones, fueron incautados un fusil, una escopeta, un revólver y abundante material intimidatorio, incluyendo panfletos con amenazas directas a la población civil.

Este resultado representa un avance significativo en la ofensiva contra las economías ilícitas y la criminalidad organizada en el departamento del Meta, debilitando estructuralmente las finanzas y el accionar violento de este grupo armado ilegal.

El Ejército Nacional, a través del Gaula Militar Meta, reafirma su compromiso con la seguridad, la protección de la población civil y la defensa de la legalidad en esta región del país. La lucha contra la extorsión y el terrorismo continúa sin tregua.

During the operation, alias Mogocín, the main leader of this criminal ring, who formerly belonged to the 53rd Front of the former FARC, was neutralized in combat. Likewise, alias Jimmy Lozada, second-in-command and financial leader, was captured. He was responsible for signing and distributing intimidating pamphlets with which they extorted cattle ranchers, palm growers, and merchants in municipalities such as Puerto Lleras, Puerto Rico, and Granada.

According to intelligence information, this illegal organization managed to collect up to one billion pesos per month through extortionate payments, severely impacting the regional economy and generating fear among Ariari’s productive unions.

At the scene of the incident, a rural home used as an operations center, a rifle, a shotgun, a revolver, and abundant intimidating material were seized, including pamphlets with direct threats to the civilian population.

This result represents a significant advance in the offensive against illicit economies and organized crime in the department of Meta, structurally weakening the finances and violent actions of this illegal armed group.

The National Army, through the Meta Military Gaula (Gaula Militar Meta), reaffirms its commitment to security, the protection of the civilian population, and the defense of legality in this region of the country. The fight against extortion and terrorism continues unabated.
