En flagrancia, capturado hombre por extorsión en la terminal de transporte de Pitalito, Huila.

El sujeto fue sorprendido cuando pretendía recibir una alta suma de dinero producto de sus intimidaciones a comerciantes y agricultores.

En una rápida y efectiva acción contra el delito de la extorsión, tropas del Gaula Militar Huila, de la Novena Brigada del Ejército Nacional, en coordinación con el Gaula de la Policía Huila y en articulación con la Fiscalía General de la Nación, lograron la captura en flagrancia de un hombre en la terminal de transporte de Pitalito, sur del departamento del Huila.

El operativo se desarrolló en el momento en que el individuo pretendía recibir la suma de 35 millones de pesos, correspondiente a un pago inicial exigido a una de sus víctimas, como parte de una exigencia extorsiva que ascendía a 100 millones de pesos.

Según la denuncia interpuesta, el capturado se identificaba como alias Andrés, presunto jefe financiero del Frente 44 de las extintas Farc, con el fin de intimidar a comerciantes y agricultores del Valle de Laboyos. Las amenazas incluían atentar contra la vida de las víctimas y sus familias si no accedían a sus pretensiones económicas.

El contacto con los afectados se realizaba mediante mensajería instantánea (WhatsApp), medio a través del cual coordinó con una de las víctimas la entrega del dinero. Gracias a la información oportuna y al trabajo investigativo, las autoridades lograron interceptarlo en el momento en que intentaba recibir y huir con el efectivo.

El capturado fue dejado a disposición de la autoridad judicial competente como presunto responsable del delito de extorsión. Tras las audiencias preliminares, un juez le impuso medida de aseguramiento en centro carcelario.

Este resultado representa un golpe contundente contra las estructuras criminales que afectan la tranquilidad del sur del Huila y ratifica el compromiso del Ejército Nacional y la Policía Nacional de garantizar la seguridad y el bienestar de la comunidad, invitando a la ciudadanía a denunciar estos hechos a través de las líneas gratuitas 147 y 165.

In a swift and effective action against the crime of extortion, troops from the Huila Military Gaula (Gaula Militar), the Ninth Brigade of the National Army, in coordination with the Huila Police Gaula (Gaula de la Policía Huila), and the Attorney General’s Office, captured a man red-handed at the Pitalito transport terminal, in the south of the department of Huila.

The operation took place when the individual was trying to receive the sum of 35 million pesos, corresponding to an initial payment demanded from one of his victims, as part of an extortion demand amounting to 100 million pesos.

According to the complaint filed, the captured man identified himself as Andrés, the alleged financial leader of the 44th Front of the defunct FARC, with the aim of intimidating merchants and farmers in the Laboyos Valley. The threats included threatening the lives of the victims and their families if they did not comply with his financial demands.

Contact with the victims occurred via instant messaging (WhatsApp), through which he coordinated the delivery of the money with one of the victims. Thanks to timely information and investigative work, authorities managed to intercept him as he attempted to receive and flee with the cash.

The captured man was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority as a suspected extortioner. After preliminary hearings, a judge ordered him to be held in prison.

This result represents a decisive blow against the criminal organizations that are affecting the peace of southern Huila and reaffirms the commitment of the National Army and the National Police to guarantee the safety and well-being of the community.
