El Grupo de Acción Unificada por la Libertad Personal, en Pereira, Risaralda, capturó a dos sujetos pertenecientes al Grupo Armado La Cordillera de acuerdo a información subministrada por la Octava Brigada.

Desde hace cuatro meses estos dos hombres estarían extorsionando a ciudadanos y comerciantes y habrían captado más de 20 millones de pesos.

El Gaula Militar Eje Cafetero, en articulación con el componente CTI-Gaula Risaralda, desarrolló una operación judicial en la ciudad de Pereira, Risaralda, que permitió la captura en flagrancia de dos sujetos, quienes se identificaron como integrantes del grupo delincuencial organizado La Cordillera.

Así mismo, estos hombres se encontraban vinculados a actividades sistemáticas de extorsión, intimidación y terrorismo urbano, donde realizaba constantes exigencias extorsivas a ciudadanos del sector. De igual manera, tendrían antecedentes por los delitos de estafa, hurto, homicidio y tráfico de estupefacientes.

Estos individuos acordaron un encuentro con uno de los afectados, con el fin de realizar un cobro por valor de 500.000 pesos, fue entonces cuando los soldados del Gaula Militar y el CTI ingresaron al lugar, y los sujetos fueron sorprendidos en flagrancia, capturados y dejados a disposición de la autoridad competente.

En este caso, la víctima se había negado a comercializar estupefacientes y a realizar cobros de créditos gota a gota y de extorsiones. A cambio de no atentar contra su integridad personal ni la de su familia, la persona accedió a entregar estos dineros.

El Gaula Militar Eje Cafetero continuará atacando las economías ilícitas y a los grupos delincuenciales que buscan generar zozobra e intranquilidad entre la comunidad de la región e invita a la comunidad a denunciar situaciones relacionadas con este flagelo en la línea gratuita nacional 147.

The Unified Action Group for Personal Freedom (GAULA) in Pereira, Risaralda, captured two individuals belonging to the La Cordillera Organized Crime Group (GDO).

For the past four months, these two men had allegedly been extorting citizens and business owners, collecting more than 20 million pesos.

The Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Group) of the Coffee Region, in conjunction with the CTI-Gaula Risaralda component, carried out a judicial operation in the city of Pereira, Risaralda, which resulted in the arrest of two individuals caught in the act. They identified themselves as members of the La Cordillera organized crime group.

These men were also involved in systematic extortion, intimidation, and urban terrorism, making constant extortion demands of residents in the area. They also reportedly have criminal records for fraud, theft, homicide, and drug trafficking.

These individuals arranged a meeting with one of the victims to collect 500,000 pesos. It was then that soldiers from the Military Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Group (Gaula Militar) and the Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) entered the premises, and the suspects were caught in the act, arrested, and turned over to the appropriate authorities.

In this case, the victim had refused to sell narcotics and collect payments for predatory loans and extortion. In exchange for not harming himself or his family, the victim agreed to hand over the money.
