Este resultado se suma a las 21 capturas de integrantes del Clan del Golfo, 4 sometimientos a la justicia y la incautación de más de 700 kilogramos de marihuana, 3000 municiones, 2 armas largas y 8 cortas, en operaciones desarrolladas recientemente por el Ejército Nacional en los departamentos de Caldas y Risaralda.

Durante el desarrollo de operaciones militares, en el marco del Plan de Campaña Ayacucho Plus, tropas del Batallón Ayacucho, adscritas a la Octava Brigada del Ejército Nacional localizaron en zona rural del municipio de Guática, Risaralda, un depósito ilegal con abundante material de intendencia que, al parecer, pertenecería al grupo armado organizado Clan del Golfo, Subestructura José Miguel Madrid Páez, que busca fortalecer su componente armado en esta región.
El hallazgo se produjo gracias a un puesto de control en la vereda Alto del Tigre, donde los soldados identificaron el movimiento sospechoso de un vehículo por una vía terciaria. Al realizar el registro del sector, ubicaron una vivienda abandonada, en donde fueron encontrados varios bultos. Tras aplicar los protocolos de seguridad establecidos, se verificó que contenían prendas de uso privativo de las Fuerzas Militares.
Entre los elementos incautados se encuentran 2 cascos plásticos, 4 cascos tipo kevlar, 4 pares de botas, 5 uniformes completos tipo patriota, 2 buzos tácticos, 6 equipos de campaña con parrilla, 5 chalecos multipropósito, pasamontañas, riñoneras de equipo y portacantimploras, los cuales fueron puestos a disposición de la autoridad competente.
El Ejército Nacional ratifica su compromiso con la seguridad del Triángulo del Café y la protección de la población civil, neutralizando las pretensiones expansionistas de los grupos armados organizados en la región.

During military operations within the framework of the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops from the Ayacucho Battalion, attached to the Eighth Brigade of the National Army, located an illegal warehouse containing a large amount of supplies in the rural area of the municipality of Guática, Risaralda. The warehouse apparently belonged to the organized armed group Clan del Golfo, José Miguel Madrid Páez Substructure, which is seeking to strengthen its armed component in this region.
The discovery was made at a checkpoint in the Alto del Tigre area, where soldiers identified the suspicious movement of a vehicle on a tertiary road. Upon searching the area, they located an abandoned house, where several packages were found. After applying established security protocols, it was verified that they contained clothing for the exclusive use of the Military Forces.
Among the seized items were two plastic helmets, four Kevlar-style helmets, four pairs of boots, five full patriot-style uniforms, two tactical overalls, six items of field gear with a grill, five multipurpose vests, balaclavas, equipment belts, and canteen pouches, which were turned over to the competent authorities.
The National Army reaffirms its commitment to the security of the Coffee Triangle and the protection of the civilian population, neutralizing the expansionist ambitions of organized armed groups in the region.
