El 29 de octubre será un día especial en el calendario a partir de ahora, ya que la Organización de las Naciones Unidas ha proclamado esta fecha como el Día Internacional de los Cuidados y el Apoyo. La resolución oficial de la ONU nos ofrece una visión profunda y reflexiva sobre la necesidad de valorar y reconocer el trabajo del cuidado doméstico no remunerado que realiza un gran número de personas en todo el mundo, y en su mayoría, mujeres. Estos cuidados y apoyo son fundamentales para el bienestar de la sociedad, especialmente para los niños, personas de edad y personas con discapacidad, pero también para alcanzar la igualdad de género y empoderar a todas las mujeres y niñas.
